Wait, how can you say that when Kamala hasn’t explained or answered nothing. COVID at the end of trump in a lockdown is understandable. And how? Lower energy bills, lower taxes. He has a track record. In addition today we have a very expansive war in the Middle and Ukraine. Trump had no war. His track record makes him better suited to end these conflict that Biden admin started. and remember Kamala said Biden was a great President. I don’t see her ending anything. Trump was very effective considering he really didn’t get help from both parties that hate him. Why? She's giving a policy speech on the economy very soon. The President has limited control over inflation. If Republicans get elected in Congress, they will block any gov't attempt to help people. She might jawbone down price gouging. But she has to have a congress behind her. Presidents don't make legislation. Not one, I repeat not one Republican voted for Biden's rescue plan but a bunch of them took credit for it when it helped people. Do you really think Trump and the GOP have your interests in mind? I understand.trump inherited a very healthy economy it took Barack Obama 8 years to stabilize. Then trump, building a wall, taxing tor middle class to pay millionaires taxes and co vid, tanked the economy and the Biden administration was left to fix THAT mess. trump never speaks on issues or policies-- just child like personal attacks. My understanding is that she will address interest rates, child tax credits, healthcare and housing costs when she discusses the plans. The two parties have very clear and distinct positions on everything that do not change. As it pertains to economic matters the Republicans believe in supply side economics. This entails placing most of the tax burden on the working and middle classes while giving most of the tax breaks to the wealthy and big corporations. The hope is that the wealthy will create businesses, and big corporations will expand existing businesses. It is fundamentally flawed because there is no guarantee that either will occur. The wealthy are unlikely to start new business because they are already wealthy so what is the point? Big corporations are unlikely to expand existing businesses particularly when existing demand is already being met. Doing so would just cut into their bottom line. They are more likely to buy back stocks or give executive pay hikes and very little of the money reenters the economy. The wealthy get wealthier, and poor get poorer. The Democrats on the other hand subscribe to demand side economics. This entails placing most of the tax burden on the wealthy and giving tax breaks to the working and middle classes. The Democrats know that the middle class is more likely to start new business, and the poor are more likely to spend while the wealthy are more likely to save. Therefore, most of the money reenters the economy and the new businesses that are formed help to create competition which is what drives prices down. That is why the economy performs better under democrats and the economic data on publicly accessible government websites validates that. Even Trump admits it in an interview while running for office the first time. You can look up the interview for yourself. You are already on the right website. I'd also encourage you to go to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis website and study some data.

@@justinedse8435 full disclosure...economics was NOT my subject in HS. I thrived in other areas and even more since college. What I understand since the inflation reduction act was put in place: monies to struggling Americans, slowing down to inflation rate (just under 3% now, lowest its been in decades), stock market highest its been and pretty steady, and finally stores are bringing down prices. What Trump administration and covid lockdown did to the economy was horrendous. The whole world took a hit for sure. Like anything, it takes some adjustments and time for things to start straightening out. Corporations are out for profits. Good for them, I guess. Trickle down economics does not work. There is no morale in corporations today. Nothing like work hard and you'll get rewarded.

Personal attacks and insults get a lot of cheers at Trump Rallies. His audience isn't very sophisticated, and they won't respond to highly complicated policy issues. Trump loves loud and enthusiastic cheers so much that he can't accept and follow his advisors' advice to stick to the issues. Again, this just reminds most of us that he is not fit to occupy the White House.

It's kind of sad that he is so bad at campaigning and so incapable of focusing on policy that his team puts the no tax on tips thing on a board behind him so that people watching will see a reference to some sort of policy view since he's barely talking about it. And instead of having a crowd of his supporters in the background like he usually has, they seem to be in a much smaller venue than usual and they are seemingly avoiding having the crowd in the shots, perhaps in an effort to keep him from talking about crowd sizes.
