Picking a sitting US Senator is a horrible strategic blunder, IMO. IF we get the majority in the senate, and this is by no means guaranteed, it could be by the slimmest majority. We simply cannot afford to remove ANY Republican senator from that body and expect to hold the majority. That said, I also like Tim Scott but am not willing to risk losing the senate over his elevation to VP. There are any number of strong Republican governors who can do an excellent job as VP and they have good executive experience.

I don't have a single favorite choice & the ones Trump is choosing from probably will be good picks. The reason I like Tim Scott is because I'm tired of the worn out line of the Democrats "Trump is racist"

I like the fact that Trump mentioned Elise Stefanik But she’s from New York Your pick Tim Scott is from South Carolina You can’t have 2 New Yorkers or 2 people from the East Coast Trump has to pick a VP from Mid West to West to get the voters!
