Certain professions, like fighter pilots for example, demand certain types of personalities and dispositions. The rigorous training and constant practicing of their skillset solidifies those unique qualities. These people are not given to great displays of emotion. Problem solving while flying at Mach 2.5 requires ice water in your veins. I think his response to President Trump being gracious was perfectly fine given his profession. Respectful and appropriately stoic.

​@@TheNullie there are lots of articles about how an active member can criticize the military without sowing dissent. One thing he did wrong is criticize the Defense Secretary. You shouldn't make personal attacks. Think of the generals who worked alongside Trump, but only criticized him after they retired, and Trump wasn't in office. He got political, something the military, which works with whatever party is in power, should never do. He released a book without seeking authorization, also a no-go. I'm not exactly a supporter of DEI initiatives. Not when they mean excluding white men. In Canada we have a new medical school only accepting a total of 25% white male students. It's ridiculous.

I am not aproving everything Trump says or does, but I think every country needs leader personalities - of course coupled to democratic processes. Harris has no clear line - apart from her political view. Meanwhile watch Mr. Putin, he is calm, he is polite but a tough leader. Apart of that Putin is intelligent. He can speak for hours keeping the content high. He remembers numbers, facts, details etc. He is always informed about the actual policies in other countries, when journalists ask him something. He talks perfect german and english too. He always gives respect to other governements, really always. He gives respect to leaders of countries with major problems.
