I have voted Blue in California!💙💙💙 Folks, Having worked in L&D, maternal health care, and managing an OB/Gyn office I cannot stress enough how important this election is. Abortion bans are now affecting twenty states, and roughly 1/3 of women in the US. Abortion laws are preventing many women obtaining competent, safe and timely maternal care, resulting in an increase in maternal deaths and morbidity. States are finding ways to restrict access of medications used in abortions, and have tried, but failed, to ban mifepristone,(the morning after pill),at the level of the Supreme Court. States are also losing qualified physicians and specialists in maternal/fetal medicine in many red states and many med students now have to get training out of state. Applications to Medical Schools in states with these bans has also decreased. And, Cases of children in foster care have increased 11%, stretching resources in a system that was already broken. It is essential to keep Trump out of office and to reverse the the damage that trump has done. Please vote blue, everyone, for the lives and health of our women, wives, daughters,and granddaughters. 💙💙💙

More than 60,000 women have had to give birth to their rapist babies, since the total abortion ban went through in some states. My own 19 year old niece was sent home from the hospital during her miscarriage. They couldn't do anything for her until she was bleeding out. Because she had just lost both of her parents, one month apart, she had to send me pictures of the clots and material she was passing, to make sure she wasn't bleeding to death. I live over a thousand miles from her. If you don't vote for yourself would you please vote for these young ladies?

As someone who's spent time in prison (for a crime I didn't commit- was finally released), I can tell you, on the outside, the govt/prison system can say that everyone gets what is technically available (ie: dental, psych, etc) but that doesn't mean inmates are actually getting any of that care. They can do whatever they want or don't want to do. *If* they screw you over medically, it can take months/years to even make it out to anyone who would care or could do anything about it. So even if they say they offer gender affirming care (if a Dr prescribes it) that doesn't mean it's actually happening. I learned so much about our prison system via my ordeal. I wish more people knew what exactly is going on with it.

I've spent time in county jail, and it's true. The services that are available to inmates on paper are very different from what is actually accessible. It's not like there's a buffet of medical care. You have to convince a guard with a high school education to see a nurse who is already hostile to the idea of providing any care at all.
