There is a very big difference between 70% of the land and 70% of the land owned by individuals. A significant percentage of of that 70% owned by individuals are actually owned by companies and trusts. So I suggest that you get your facts straight.

The stats was for individuals. Land that is owned by companies and land that is owned by the state is outside of that 70%. This is because even in instances where you would think a business owns the land it operates on (e.g big shopping malls, national roadways, government buildings, etc) is actually owned by minorities and was leased to a business or to the state on a long term lease date. They are profiting greatly from ill gotten gains.

A colleague of mine from India asked me one time, why does the U.S. give so much money to so many countries around the world. I said it was so they played with us, instead of Russia and China. Money is influence. You know, that no matter who is running a given country, the leaders are pocketing some of that money themselves. Always been that way.....likely always will be. From my recollection, the original portion of the US, was colonized by Dutch, English, Spanish, Nordish, and a smattering of others, with the island of Manhattan having been purchased from Native Americans, for a handful of beads. Then the eastern portion was eventually consolidated under the English, which we won in our war for independence. But the lion's share of the central and western parts, were purchased from France, Russia, and Mexico. Some was acquired from Mexico through a war. And most of the rest was incrementally taken from Native Americans through so-called treaties and slaughter. All of these events were incremental and overlapped over about 600 years. That's pretty much covers my understanding, of the events culminating in our nation's creation, without going into too many details.

It gets given directly to Health facilities and NGOs, actually. The government does not have complete direct access. USAid manages (or managed) the process. And the funds were used for research, HIV prevention (Prep and mother to child transmission prevention), counselling and contraceptives. We should not always be quick to jump into sensationalism.

We can all agree that BEE has a place as there needs to be upliftment of those who were previously disadvantaged. No problem. Fair. But is there actually a plan in place for this? By what date will what milestones be reached by Government...nothing. No plan. THAT is the problem...They are exploiting the situation by continuously referring to the past without an actual plan in place to reach a solution. Farmland is taken, then a very productive agricultural business turns to dust. THe animals die, production becomes 0. So the Goverments conclution is that there is still an income gap, so they take more land, and the cycle repeats itself over and over again, because there is not plan in place. No actual 'upliftment' happens... The ANC is useless
