It's so sad to say that Trump has critics when he's only trying to put his best foot forward. He has worked hard all his life to get where he is, plus, the country is ready to turn the page for something brand new. Many friends and neighbors wait with baited breath for the re-entrance or re-emergence if you will of America's Matriarch-Melania Trump. In fact, our little sewing club out here near Des Moines, which consists mainly of retired school marms who taught in the for-profit private sector, plan to make Melania inspired leopard print shawls which they one day hope to be able to sell on the home shopping network. As positive as this might seem, they say that there could be many potential pitfalls due to the American public's propensity to become easily distracted by news shows such as, "Adderall Hour with Judge Jeanine" and/or "Mouthing Platitudes with Piers Morgan". But, in light of this, they've recently met with a young and handsome lobbyist out of DC who shits dollar bills and SUV's to discuss the market potential for their Melania inspired shawls. He said that they shouldn't be so preoccupied about the public's propensity for distraction, and if they only hurry, in due time they will be able to outsource shawl production to a facility manned by Eskimos in Trump's Greenland. So, many can't understand the negativity when entrepreneurship is evidently on the rise in the good ol' USA!

It's worth noting that Trump interestingly targets his most open public attacks against countries that specifically hold large values of US bonds in their government treasuries. The UK, China, Canada all hold disproportionately large valuations of dollar reserves. Japan as well, and in his first term he was very vocal about "making Japan pay for US military support". I'm sure he will refocus his attention on that again via hot Taiwan "debates" eventually. My only explanation is that he attempts to destabilize countries through his toxic rhetoric and threats in an attempt to pull back some leverage for his own public position (ie attacking those who could potentially ask for the most favours from the US).

As an American in a left state I feel I should say something in regards to the right's actions and promises for your viewers outside of the U.S. Yes, we know this is insane, at least half the country does. The only thing we can do at the moment is shore up our individual state constitutions to preserve the rights that the federal government has been quickly stripping away from those in need. On a global scale like this that is of little comfort I know, but it feels more like simple survival is the end goal for now over here.
@banksiasong11 сағат бұрын
But don’t federal laws over-ride those of the states?
@namelessspook798711 сағат бұрын
@banksiasong Some do, a lot of the issues like abortion have been set as a states choice to make, which cuts the federal government out of it. This is mostly to "shrink big government." It's held up so far because it's one of the major points for the right states. They want the fed as far away from their business as they can get them. If the Fed starts to oversteep they run the risk of losing a large part of their base.

The only silver lining is that this is likely to push the UK closer to rejoining the EU. Also, remember the backclash caused a few years ago when the Tories were talking about the idea of UK becoming the 51st state of the US and then that idea got shelved as a result. Also, Badenoch is terrible at politics and Starmer keeps schooling her, so it's only really Farage we have to worry about.
