That's a lot of money but it's like .. Normal richer person money. And he's been the VP of the US. He can have a $40-60k car. That Maserati is newer one, like a 80- $115k+ vehicle, and if it has add ons even more. And you know it's not a base model (the base model is $80k). I just feel like anyone who is in Congress that feels the need to tell other people they are wasting tax payer dollars for getting basic health and human services but uses their tax payer salary to buy a $115k car is sick.

@@richiejohnson nope, not at all. There's a lot of benefits ex-presidents receive, including intelligence briefings, $ for office spaces, pensions, lifetime secret service protection, and more. There's also the "policy" of executive privilege which can shelter ex-presidents from certain legal action against them as private citizens, but it's generally up to SCOTUS/Chief Justice to interpret (Harvard Law had a good post on this back in September if you google it). My point is the way he handled his electoral defeat should disqualify him from all of that.
