It sure was a joyous, surreal day. I am a homebound, isolated, disabled senior. Well I had 2 medical appointments at the local hospital. I had a very similar day about a month ago - night and day. Today everyone was smiling and I heard laughter about every 30 seconds. Every encounter I had with others, they bent over backwards trying to help. Kamala campaigned on joy. I'm 71 and when we were kids we all contracted measles, mumps, and chicken pox. It was no big deal. We got over it in a couple weeks and that was it!

I was temporarily paralyzed from those dang boosters! Within 24 hrs my hands curled in and I couldn't used them and 36 hrs, I couldn't walk! Never been so scared in my life...and i taught inner city with gangs for years!(although, with them, once they understood i was there to help, and for them, we developed a mutual respect.) Sitting in the ER, waiting for someone to come help me get to the bathroom...not being able to write my own name....so frustrated! I was there for a week, not sure what our next step was going to be. To know 12 hrs ago, i could walk to the bathroom on my own, I wasn't giving up. The nurses were busy in the ER and my room wasn't ready yet, I finally thru myself against a wall and held on for dear life, hoping I could pull ans keel myself up. I was a door length away when I took a dive, and thankfully a nurse, built like a linebacker, dove to help catch me. He did! And then got me back to my room. I found out there, tho, that the nurses believed the shots were causing problems but the Dr's didn't want to hear it. A guy working in the CTscan room told me his mother went thru something similar when she got the booster, but was afraid he would lose his job if he spoke out. Finally got up to my room, laying in my bed staring at the ceiling, as I prayed, saw a smiley face, someone put on the ceiling. Teaching and notes that I leave today , decades later, I still out a smiley with a wink in my notes. Thankfully, a week later, I got to go home. This was in 2021...today I still have tingles in my feet constantly that never went away and at times in my hands/digits. Looking into it, my dr is pretty sure the nurse,who was new, gave me a double dose. We will never know for sure, but my dr and I agreed NO MORE of those shots or boosters! ;)
