This takes morals, it takes conscience, it takes a keen sense of what is the wrong AND right thing to do: a deep understanding of what's at stake if you betray yourself and your fundamental beliefs. I have the utmost respect for all of you and your compatriots for doing so. It is less consequential that you and I don't agree on policy sometimes (imagine saying that!!!) because that's Democracy in action. This situation is beyond that, it's about the Country and all that forms the fabric of "We The People" - those words have now taken on monumental meaning. I have to say that hearing somebody talk about doing the right thing as though it were something extraordinary is demoralizing. I’m as liberal as you can possibly get and there have been times in my life when the choice of my party was not the best choice in local elections and I voted otherwise. But this is a choice between voting for democracy or never forget to vote again without bloodshed, and then no guarantee. How could anyone put party above that?
