We older people from outside the US gaped in astonisment when an unintelligent actor was elected, twice. Then along came GW Bush...At that point the Brits were expecting the Republicans to put a red rosette on a chimpanzee and it would be elected, and then came Trump. He's now back. Churchill said the best argument against democracy was to talk to the average voter for 5 minutes. Well, here we are. God help us all.
