A strong dollar on the other hand will make US exports that will be hit with retaliatory tariffs even more expensive. A strong currency is not really what you want if you're trying to implement tariffs on imports.

But the price level of Mag 7 were built by the AI bubble under the impression that no one else can catch up to them, and that bubble has burst last Monday. you'll see a bunch of analyst from US saying China's AI advancement has no effect on the chip market to calm everyone down in the following weeks. But that won't stop the prices falling eventually, meaning within weeks to 2-3 months. Alibaba already announce that their AI model already outperform Deepseek. OpenAI is on panic mode and just released a new model ahead of schedule. I live in US and want US to do well but my money has a mind of their own......
