I think it's disgusting to be racist over people knowing that at the moment they are in an ok place and know their neighbour is in trouble and they can pitch in and give them a hand. Our country runs on that principle...we all stick a few bob in the pot, so when we or our neighbour are in trouble or hard times, there is a few bob to see us or them through their tough times. We call it the 'welfare/benefits system'. We are all part of families and extended communities and when we see mums, dads, kids just like us and ours trying to deal with starvation from failed crops, lack of water, meds, natural disasters...we are human enough to actually care, because that mum there worried sick about her children is no different to me, except she is in a really, really difficult situation and at the moment I am not. So people can stick their attitudes about 'white saviours' and being 'lady bountiful' where the sun does not ever shine and you will not put me off of the principle of giving each other some back up in hard times.
