In a True Democracy the middle and lower classes who outnumber the Super Rich by a very large margin inevitably can very easily produce a situation whereby the masses by their much larger numbers can easily victimize the Super Rich by demanding their government institute Draconian tax policies against the Super Rich depleting their assets significantly. This will result in the Tyranny of the Majority leading to the masses easily victimizing the Super Rich by demanding their government institute Draconian tax policies against the Super Rich depleting the majority of their assets significantly. Indeed. No matter how expensive products get, the rich could still afford it but not the poor who can barely get by with minimum wage. Globalization has created an interdependency of markets that require careful geopolitical management. Trade wars are clumsy and heavy handed ways of dealing with markets that are fine tuned and can have long range consequences! Trump is seeking his own personal and financial satisfaction at the cost of the U.S. and its international welfare! He has singled out his biggest trade partners because the U.S. has significant trade deficits with these countries! He fails to understand that these same countries are producing essential goods and services that are needed in his country! Also these same tariffs will increase inflation and cause hardship and possible job losses in his country especially if these same countries exercise retaliatory tariffs! This is a lose, lose situation! It’s hard to understand how the people in the U.S. voted again into the highest office such a president?

I doubt that people like Trump buy a lot of things from Walmart and Amazon, much less has any clue about how much of it comes from China. We rely on China's cheap shit just like they rely on us for our huge consumer market. We are evolving, becoming more mixed, and becoming more inclusive. In just a few years, many states will be majority minority and will probably turn blue. The power structure is changing and it makes people mad and scared. They think Trump is here to save them.

Tariffs are paid by the consumer, in this case American consumers. China has responded by banning exports of materials to USA and banning imports from USA to China. Trump is a fool, a really dumb piece of crap . Imposing trade restrictions has repercussions. Mexico and Canada should now raise their prices by 25%

Does no on take into consideration that Canada, for example, has 1/10th the US population and our dollar is only worth $0.66 to the American dollar. How are we supposed to import / buy more from the US when it costs us so much more for the same item. If I wanted to buy, say a couch for $1000 USD. Not including any extra import fees I would have to pay for that couch, it is actually costing me $1413.52 CDN. So I have to pay over an extra $400 for the same item. Where on the other had if reversed a $1000 CDN couch would only cost a buyer in the US $707.30 USD. So is that calculated in when figuring out a trade deficit? Less people with less money obviously are not gojng to ge able to import as much! My 12 year old can figure out that math!
