AfriForum emphasises that the executive order that US President, Donald Trump, issued yesterday regarding the position of Afrikaners in South Africa, is a direct result of President Cyril Ramaphosa and his government’s irresponsible actions and policies. AfriForum expressed its great appreciation for Trump and the US’s recognition of the injustice to which Afrikaners are subjected in South Africa. However, the civil rights organisation and its sister institutions in the Solidarity Movement remain committed to Afrikaners’ future at the southern tip of Africa and insist that urgent solutions must therefore be found for the injustices committed by the South African government against Afrikaners and other cultural communities in the country.

You should have heard what Julius Malema has said about Hamas. For him, Hamas (or Palestinians) are treated in the same way by Israelites as blacks in South Africa. Fighting for their land is the main issue. And for this fight, they may use any force legal, illegal or cruel as hell. I do not understand his reasoning. Many do not own land but live a happy life. Zimbabweans now have all the land they wished for but now they struggle much more than before. Owning land is just a pipe dream.

As a South African Afrikaner/Boer and plenty more understand what you are saying and completely agree with your point if view, and you will see it this Saterday 15 Februarie, where we will come together at the South African Embassy to handover a petition and a document that states over a 100 discriminating laws against minority groups, whites, coloureds, indians. Trump (Thank God) surprised everyone with his "fast guns" action. I think the people are not sure about, what to believe and what not to believe. Give the idea, pstrategy and the ripple effect some time to mature. This will not go down the same way it went down in Zimbabwe, I am reffering here to the outcomes if they try an all out Zimbabwe. The ANC and their communist cronies are well guided by their WEF, they will play a slow and frustrating game,, making use of "proxi's" to do the land grabs, (which already started and it is testing the grounds for a more intense go at it, the ANC Goverment is absent in their legal law responsibilities to put this type of activity to rest. It's not that we reject emigration to the US. If I can use myself as an example, farming on land that was bought by my grandpa in 1932. There is much more sentiment in it than income. To kick this aside and move to a new culture, is not a decision that can be made easily by me. What’s more, I watch Americans who came here and bought farms not far from mine. I live in the Western Cape. Makes me wonder.

At least 39% voted for the ANC who promote the racial BBBEE system, which has failed so far and in my position as an Engineer working in government institutions have also reduced efficiency and indeed effectiveness in many contracts. The actions by USA are in their own interests but it will affect all South Africans. The NP were removed and the alternative seemed great initially until the ANC changed to more socialist tendencies. The actions will strengthen SA to overcome handouts that promote weakness and like the terrorist method of working, use the aid for self aggrisement of leaders families. It's true that farmers will lose out but it's not limited to Afrikaans speaking farmers. This denial now is self protection but the socialist element of SA's society needs to fall first before it can be corrected.
