We just have different values, not better, not worst, different… Not everything is about just having a higher number in your bank account, it’s way more important that everyone has a certain access to things regardless of how much they make. That said, it’s petty coming from someone who was talking about giving us a 25% tarif not so long ago. Not sure why he’d want us to join US, but had I to merge with another country, I’d look more towards an europeen country. A bit farther geographically speaking, but it seems our interests and values aligns way more. As for military, ideally, we’d soon come at a point in our collective human history where we would be phasing those out… It’s a bit like all those fossile fuels… They were great at some point in our history, but we should really thrive to do better. Come live here for a second you wouldn’t last a day. You’d be crying about how your pay cheques been cut in half, and how 70% of your take home cheque is going towards rent alone. Just so you know, the wasps here actually hunt the giant spiders. They paralyse them, entomb them in their nests and lay their eggs on them. Then their larvae hatch, eat the spiders alive and metamorphise into adult wasps. And the wasps always seem really angry at someone.

I am neither American nor Canadian. Honestly, joining forces with Canada is probably the only hope America has of ever becoming a normal developed nation. Not that it should be up to Canada to clean and put up with that mess. I’m sure they already do enough.
