The "trickledown" theory that suggested the richer oligarchs became, the richer everyone became held sway, under one Republican administration under another until the 2022 post-covid inflation showed how vulnerable ordinary workers had become financially as oligarchs and the executive class hoovered up ALL the wealth. Because Democrats happened to be in power at that time, THEY got the blame for the pressure on prices AND family finances that had been 50 years in the making. But it was Donald Trump who recognised the grassroots frustration and anger and parlayed it into MAGA and the White House. And here you are, with a classic robber-baron in charge... good luck with that!

Labor unions are the reason wealth went up for the middle and lower class, as well as the weekend and age requirements to work. And our greatest period of growth in the middle class occurred in the 1950s, when corporate tax rates were at their highest. I'm so sick of fools rewriting history. This isn't 1984, and 2+2=4.
