I'm sure he hates me because when I went to school they taught us how to think, not just what to barf back. I also know enough to know that while formally educated to the level that I reached my ability to think has led me to learn many things. For instance I built the computer that I'm currently using even though I'm nearing 70 years old. Hurrah for the old codger with his home built computer and his 3 screen display array that includes one screen in "portrait" orientation. That odd screen is to make text editing easier. I joined the army when I was 17 so my first time voting was by Mail for and my second time was 4 years later when I was deployed to Afghanistan. It's amazing folks will talk about soldiers fighting for our rights and then have an opinion that would effectivly eliminate the ability for many of us and our families to vote by mail all because they are unhappy that they failed to convince a majority of the american people to vote for their canidate. I was just a corporal so take my opinion with the grain of salt but I believe both the American government and the Afghan government failed the Afghan people and American people. When I deployed Afghani girls were allowed to go to school, we had complete control of the country... Today they cannot That's something that'll stick for me for quite some time. That said, I knew way back when I was there in 2012 that we had to leave. We had already been there for so long. I thought we were leaving that year to be honest because we had just pulled air support from the ANA to get them used to standing on their own feet. I was absolutely stunned when the country collapsed into the Taliban hands especially how quickly it did.

Then again in 1918 and again during WW2, and it is still an appurtenance to the law presently. In uniform and actively sworn to duty and stationed or deployed more than 50 miles from your residence of record you are allowed 24 hours, and 24 hours only to have your completed ballot in the hands of the appointed election, proctor, commanding officer (adjutant) provost marshall, or lawfully sworn and designated document officer. So yes as she knew (and you do now) he could vote!!

So, just staying with the one topic regarding one-day voting, because this chick is all over the map, there are legitimate reasons for why some people cannot vote on a particular day. People all over this country work in businesses that are 24/7 operations. People in emergency services and hospitals often cannot get out to vote. Air traffic controllers, pilots, flight attendants, etc. are often working. Truckers can’t just run off to their designated voting location when they are on the road. I mean seriously, just take half a second to think about why people can’t necessarily get to their voting location on a particular day. The stupidity of questioning why someone is in this country, because they may be unable to get to their voting location, simply astounds me. And then she goes off the rails on some unrelated tangent talking about it not being easy for the guys who died in the revolutionary war. Huh??
