Tariffs are on wholesale values coming across the border not retail and there is usually a nice spread between the two. In a line of machinery I know the dealer got 45 percent off list from Europe and that included duty, a famous Swiss luxury watch brand I got 40 percent off because a family friend was an authorized dealer. If you buy enough Boeing jets you can get 40% off list [rices. Then there are currency exchange rates that can make prices change.
