It is interesting to see Johnson's ability to do 2 types of impersonations. He can go the Daryl Hammond route and do very nuanced, specific impressions, or exaggerate certain aspects of a subject's mannerisms like he did in the Bill Walton sketch, which was the stock in trade of guys like Hartman, Hader (though his Alan Alda was spot on) and Carvey. Quite the versatility.

Big time disagree. trump probably finds it flattering and it's probably what he thinks he looks like. It's not even funny. The writing is but it's like he's auditioning for the inevitable trump self-financed glorified biopic and not trying to skewer him like SNL should. SNL should go hard like Alec Baldwin did making him look like a buffoon instead of this lame impression that's way too accurate to be funny.

She's probably been mortified with the blowback after giving three back-to-back interviews. That said, she didn't come across as the pillar of professionalism in her interviews. I'm still not sure why she even decided to contact the networks and offer to sit for an interview. I live in Atlanta and I would not want my face and name out there when the full report is released b/c there are some crazy Trumpers in the southeast. One of my colleagues has/is represent-ed/ing three different defendants involved in J6, and some of their beliefs belong on an episode of The Twilight Zone. The saddest aspect is that they truly believe many of those ridiculous Q-anon conspiracies. Two still cling to a fantasy that trump is somehow going to be able to swoop in and save them. Even though they don't know each other, they have many of the same whacked-out beliefs and truly believe they're being "targeted" for knowing top-clearance secrets about the US and foreign governments -- think Twilight Zone. All three have been alienated by family members and friends, and it's actually quite sad.

@@B_Bodziak She works at Jo Ann Fabrics, so money probably has a lot to do with it. It was a mistake, however, because as you say, now the crazy Trumpers know who she is and will target her for what she said. And the crazy train doesn't just run through the southeast. Seeing how they targeted people like Brad Raffensperger and Gabriel Sterling, she's unfortunately more vulnerable to that now. It shouldn't be that way, and people should never self-silence because of such fears, but it's not like she's some whistleblower whose truth needed to get out. What she had to say is just teasers that people found entertaining. It's good that what she said wasn't substantive, but she also didn't really need to speak out at all.
