The Philippines have always gone out of their way to be a genuinely loyal and friendly ally to the United States, and they will continue to do so because it's in their heart to do so. I understand that you might not be familiar with military affairs but, I'll tell you that the Philippines is a "crossroad" nation with a very strategic location. Any military commander would be very stupid not to take control of the country in case of a war. It all stems from the countless betrayals that usa did to PH. First was after the Spanish war, after fighting spain for decades the Filipinos are tired and weary then the americans came and invaded the country.
