@@davidharris5736 There is NO scientific evidence that GM foods are harmful to eat and in some cases (like orange GM rice) are MORE nutritious than their non-GM counterparts. GM foods are clearly labeled as such so the consumer can decide if they want to purchase them just like people can decide whether they want to purchase "organic" (a farce and a ripoff, IMO) foods versus regular foods. US cars like the Tesla meet or exceed all EU safety standards and greatly exceed EU efficiency standards so I am not sure what you are talking about. Drop the BS and let the EU consumer decide what they want to purchase.

It's useless for the EU to lower tariffs. That's what Trump is showing with tariffs on Canada. Canada was not putting any tariff on American goods. It was only following the rules of a treaty with the US called NAFTA. Canada completely directed its economy toward the US. Now, suddenly, Trump is not happy with this treaty anymore, because Canada is beating the US in trade. So he aims at destroying the economy of his staunchest ally ever, a country with which the US share the longest unguarded border in the world, with families on both sides. That's what Trump is showing now, that's what the US is showing the world. "Forget trying to be friend with us, it's no use", is he saying. Great doing, America!
