It's dangerous for jets to fly and the geography of the island favors the defender so much it's not even worth trying. Not to mention Greenland isn't really very connected. There aren't any highways connecting the 4 or so major towns. You land in Nuuk and you drive down the road only to see a full stop to the road and then nothing for hundreds of miles.
