Deathborne is such an underrated card It requires setup yes but it is definitely a card that won me a lot of matchs against aggro decks like Implock.

It's not even an underrated card... most people know that deathborne is a good card, except Trump. Arena stats show that any deck that has at least 1 copy of deathborne in it has a 62% winrate. In standard, the decks running deathborne are sitting at 55%-59% winrate with the card having a 55% winrate when drawn and a 60% winrate when played.

Can anyone explain to me why a 6 mana 10/10 on turn 6 that also clears the board is a bait? Talking about game 1. I don't believe saving your 2 minions is worth over clearing 3 enemy minions into summoning 10/10 worth of stats (also dr deal 10 damage btw..)

you clear your own board when you are ahead and board clears are premium for coming back when behind.

well for one, it's only 8/8 because there is no way to pop the dirigible's shield without killing an enemy minion reducing the skeleton count. Also, like geno said, trump was ahead, even without hero powering, trading out the board would leave the 3/2 dirigible without it's divine shield, and a 3/1, which is clearly better than the 2 1/1's the opponent has. Deathborne is one of those insane cards that fullfill 2 purposes, clearing the board and creating one, doubling one's tempo by both resetting the board if you're behind and creating a board to get ahead on, and unlike in standard where you can generate multiple deathbornes through discovers, that kind of card is a gamewinning and deckdefining one for arena where value is king.

@@luc.k7736 🤣🤣 that makes it even better it's an 11/10 cuz the stats of your 3/2 stay on the board. sure you have less value comming from your 6 mana Spell but the result would be so much better than what Trump did. The only argument you could make is indeed reducing your options in case you fall behind. But what fool would you be if you were to actually fall behind when you're 11/10 in stats ahead.

​@@pietermichiels4177 i mean play the game you think is best, but IMO you're missing the point of deathborne if you think it's just a pile of stats, the reason its such a good card is not that it creates 4 skeletons occasionally, it's that it does it by removing say 10/10 or even 15/15 worth of stats from the enemy board (like in game 2 where he draws it and instantly wins the game) and summoning an equal pile of stats to your side. Being 10/10 ahead in stats is still not as good as being 10/10 ahead in stats and simultaneously removing 10/10 in stats from the opponent.

I tried out hunter the other day and didn't get any wildseed cards. Last night I played a hunter who rolled me before half our decks were gone. In that time he played 5 wildseed generators, including 2 Ara'lons. I dont like the imbalance of arena right now

every time you start to feel like Arena can be fun to play, the game is quick to remind you how little say you have in how successful your deck is. What cards you are offered, and how you draw decides nearly all games, sadly. Edie: oh, and the result of random effects of cards, of course.

I'm the guy who always conspire, I really belive if you pay with a ticket you will get worse cards and will match with people who already won like 5 games, awhile if you pay for it you probably going to receive good cards and play against payed with tickets with worse decks and who just started the run... so not even close quality of decks...

Is the matchmaking rigged? Does the game deliberately give you easier matches if you had several bad runs, and harder ones if you do well? I ask this because i had a 12 win arena Hunter- pretty good deck with a few wildseeds. Then I drafted a pretty solid Druid deck with decent deathrattle synergy Went 0-3. My opponent at 0-1 had a deck that was stronger than anything i faced with my hunter, including the match i had at 11-1. Mind you, i did this run RIGHT AFTER the hunter run, so the people online should have been the same. It made me wonder.....

There is a special "newbie queue" which prioritizes others in newbie queue, if you havent played in like 2-6? months or lost alot you get put in newbie queue for around 2-3 runs I think, which is why when someone doesnt play for a long time and thinks "man why is 12 wins so easy" newbie queue. other then that later games are harder since they try to match you with someone with the same number of wins so at 10 wins youre against another 10 win deck (probably) so later matches are actually harder. otherwise there is just normal queue Im pretty sure. Also variance is a cruel, cruel mistress.
