Strange Mixology doesn't work because the wording in the localizations in other region may say "1" instead of "a." For example, the Japanese version of Fan of Knives says draw 1 card.

It would work. Trump is wrong. Draw a card, and draw one card are equivelent terms. The card is already coded to draw 1 card and would only require a text rework on some older cards. This is common as to do as card games get older.

6:55 Battlegrounds --> Defile would not work because the Deathrattles would go off during the Defile, summoning the Dead Bodies and then causing them to die to the Defile. A more accurate combo would be with Hellfire, as that does a fixed amount of damage and doesn't instantly kill the Bodies afterwards.

honestly I think the whole point of the card is to combo with Defile. math is hard, some people don't like math, so instead pay 5 mana to get rid of the math and just get a full clear. it's basically twisting nether, except it costs 1 less, it negates deathrattle effects that summon additional minions because they're probably dead too, and it's a 2 card combo instead of a single card. I'd say it's perfectly balanced and a good alternative for Warlocks who can't count.

I think small time cultist could actually be very effectively balanced by just making it random which one you get instead of being a discover, and maybe lowering the stats of the card itself (maybe 2/4 like gnomish inventor) Cutethun might still need balancing, but the other ones, mostly ysharj and nzoth are not nearly as broken if you can't consistently get them. Both effects rely on you having something specific (high value small minions/powerful deathrattles), and you can't really build a deck around them if you're only getting it 1/4 of the time.

Well a 5 mana 3/4 that casts cinderstorm is one of the best cards in warrior right now soooooo I also believe it is quite good. Yes, the mech cannot go face, but that also means it is ONLY good in control decks since it also hits your board. Any aggro deck would run this card as is. All the effects are good and it isnt that hard to shove in a deathrattle minion of some sort.

It doesn't combo in the sense that you would clear the board and leave dead bodies. it combos because every minion that dies drops a 1 health body that will die and add another wave of defile. Not that it is particularly good, but it could fill in the gaps to clear a board.

@@Laireso If you play Mecha'Thun it's Deathrattle triggers as a Battlecry. Then you kill the 3/5. The aura effect ends and Mecha'Thun gains his Deathrattle again. How is it killed by it? Mecha'Thun Priest gets countered by Mage Secrets and Swamp King Dredd, Druid by Counterspell or Potion of Polymorph, Warlock by Dirty Rat, dying or idk really... This is easy to remove compared to most disruption tools we have.

If yes and you played Shamans DK form, making it trigger after you die and you got out of evolved minion Mal'Ganis... would you be technically alive? Or Deathstalker Rexxar, dying - dealing 2 damage to all enemy minions killing Mistress of Mixtures, would the heal keep you alive after receiving fatal damage...? In the end, too complicated for a single card effect... especially as neutral card.

Funny comparing the small time cultist cards to the current lackies. They’re all fairly comparable. Deal 3 dmg randomly vs deal 2 dmg targeted. Recruit a 2 cost minion vs summon a 2 cost. Discover a spell vs cast a spell. The only unsumilar one is summon a deathrattle vs give a minion +1 atk and rush.

To go off of your fast fingers rogue spell I have a suggestion for a legendary rogue spell. "faster fingers" cost would be 8--9 mana and it would allow you to select what card you steal from your opponent's hand.

Give you more opportunities to disrupt combo by going for a card they've been holding longer. I assume the mana cost would have to be increased in this case, but to what point?

The only over-tuned mini god is nzoth. We can make ysmallrj a battlecry for sng, but znoth could be abused in a deathrattle deck. However, like someone said below me, make the cultist add a random mini og. That way you can't justify plopping this into a deathrattle deck. Discover on this card would make more sense if there were only 3 options

4 mana seems pretty fair for that effect. It's +1 card advantage for 1 more than the usual going rate, but that's made up for by the potential disruption. It can be played around by holding cards in hand, but that's somewhat disruptive in and of itself, so it works. My only concern is that, since it's a Rogue card, it can be Prepped out. I could actually see Prep->Fast Fingers being significant vs Aggro, as aggro decks typically are worried about going much further than their first big early-game push. Stealing Fungalmancers, Giggling Inventors, or anything higher-costed would be brutal, ESPECIALLY if you can clear the board at some point afterwards.

Honestly, an effect as disruptive as stealing a card directly from the opponent’s hand would probably have to be expensive to the point where it’s virtually useless in any matchups aside from against combo decks. And it probably still wouldn’t be very likely to get printed

About metro-gnomes, isn't it basically a 3/2 during your opponent's first turn, because if they end their turn with it at 1 HP, it gets -1/-1 at the start of your turn and dies? So it's basically a 2 mana 3/2, that's weaker on your turn, but with potential upside. I think it's fine.

Here's another take on the Rogue Quest: make Kathren a 5 mana 5/4 with BC&DR swap a random card from your hand with a random card in your opponent's. Meaning you might want to wait until you have crap in your hand (and maybe SS Kathren so it can't be killed) and then playing it again when you can swap something more.

I think Fast Fingers could run as a 3-cost spell because it is not always consistent in value. Arcane Intellect is a very forward card advantage card where you pay 3 mana and get +1 card advantage, and since you're drawing from your deck you have a pretty good control over what you're getting and how it fits your game plan. Fast Fingers also gives you a card advantage of +1 but it is almost completely random what you will get, and in some situations it will have very little impact. I give this card 5 Stars for Design i think its a really interesting card that could see print. 3 Stars for Balance, I think 4-mana would cost to much and it should be reduced to the standart 3-mana for +1 card advantage.

if i made a combo breaker rogue card it would be a 9 mana, "steal 1 card of your choice from your opponents hand". like pocket galaxy it basically says, "do nothing" for 1 turn, so i would only really work against combo decks. and prepping it to play on turn 6, or really played with anything else just seems like a bad idea

Like Trump explained , the amount of frustration to get a gamewinning card being stolen is the reason Blizzard never printed such cards ( besides Dirty Rat, but that was very specific with a huge drawback) .

I've a custom card idea. "Patient Zero". Has the plague which deals 1 damage to itself each turn. Deathrattle: Infect all minions and deal 2 damage to each hero. 4 mana 0/3.

When rating the Cursed Battlegrounds, Trump stated that it'd be unfun to cast it then defile and lock your opponent forever, but the defile would always clear the entire board, including the dead bodies. I'd rate it low not because its unfun, just weak to throw 5 mana away in a turn, probably your entire turn every time its used, putting yourself in danger of a full board. You can't cast a board clear on the same turn without killing the dead bodies, so it's just a 5 mana do nothing this turn, win next turn thing.

I'd like cursed battlegrounds if instead it just destroyed 1-2 slots on each player's board, reducing the ability to go wide. Could cost 3 for one slot, or 4 for two

General Finley could simply have an deckbuilding restriction like Kelseth, Reno, or Genn, and I could then see it being balanced at 3 mana. Also, it says replace, not destroy, so idk about the twig.

Druids can have secrets. Blizzard has already shown they can make more secrets for new classes with Rouge getting Cheat Death and Evasion and such

i'd like to point out that if you defile while cursed battle grounds active and kill the minions under the effect the defile will kill the dead bodies to since the only have one health and since defile proc'd on the minion that summoned it it would die as well

I like the steal card you designed, but it isn't clear whether the card is chosen randomly, facedown, or faceup. I agree with the mana cost though, and I think rogue would be a good class to have a disruption theme.

fast fingers: disruption is worse than demonic project because spells are common in combo decks and adding to your hand is just that lion thing. maybe 3?

Stealth in Hearthstone makes the creature (or hero) untargetable. it doesn't have anything to do with secrets

In WoW druids don't have special stealth play. They have stealth for the opener. But most utility has nothing to do with stealth. Rogues on the other hand have everything to do with stealth and tricks(read secrets). Hunter traps are hidden(read secrets) Mages use arcane magic to cast wards(read secrets) Paladins, I don't know why. Doesn't really make sense, like druids.

Cursed Battleground actually has a lot of avenues it could change to. I mean, it's WoW... Undeads are a thing. And it is a "Cursed" field, soo~ Some activated ability to turnthe Corpses into X/Xs that can attack. Easiest one would be "pay 2 mana, turnt his into a 1/2", for example. Would need some new UI. Other option would be an automatic corruption effect on the corpses. Makes them die in time. An interesting option would be~ that they do not actually take up board space, but, when playing a minion at full board, a corpse dies and gives your minion -1/-1. Of course, remove the "can't attack" is also an option that could go with most other options.

I would like to remind people that Priest has a spell that copies cards from your opponent's hand, and it's fairly cheap too. While "stealing" cards from your opponent's hand is actually pretty broken, giving you +6 overall in card advantage, I think just making the Glove of Mugging copy the cards in your opponent's hand is the way to go. Then it's a good reward for playing a fairly weak mechanic.

Imagine using General Finley against Dr. Boom Mad Genius to always have "discover a mech" or "gain 7 armor." Unless your hero power would change like your opponent's. Still, an interesting idea. That was probably my favorite card of this episode

Cursed Bg is salvagable IMO: rename it to something like "No time to mourn" and the dead bodies decompose at the end of your turn so its only a delay

Fast Fingers should probably either cost 5, or have some kind of downside. 4 Mana to force your opponent to effectively discard a random card, and then you get a copy of it... it's just a small bit excessive. ESPECIALLY in Rogue where you have, y'know - Preparation. I fell if it let your opponent draw a card or something it could probably come down to 3 though.

Card idea. Bank Robber. 5 mana. 4/5. Deathrattle drop money bag and whomever destroys the bag gets 2 coins. Bag is a 0/2 btw. Im not quite experienced but it sounds like a fun card concept and i dont know what rarity to give this card. Maybe a epic rarity??

The Metro-Gnomes is not nearly as powerful as you say it is. Because it gets -1/-1 at the start of your turn, it only has 3/2 on the enemy's first turn against it. If they knock it down to 1 hp, it dies at the start of your turn.

the "cursed battleground" card could be made less "unfun" by changing the dead body cards instead of 0/1 cant attacks, they are 0/2 cant attacks that take 1 damage at the end of your turn, that way the flavour is the same but the board spots arent permenantly locked out, just for a short while to make it playable id then attach it into an actual boardclear, so like 6mana deal 3 damage to all minions, any minion killed leaves behind a "decaying body"

I suggest stealing a card to be a minion effect because of preparation shenanigans. For example a 10 mana 7-8 minion with Combo: Steal a random card in your opponent's hand.

Small time cultist seemed fairly balanced. I can definitely think of a lot more imbalanced cards.

I agree, I just think it needs to be adjusted a little bit. It is comparable to Barnes in terms of its effect, but it has a better statline than Barnes and a much more consistent effect. As a 4-mana 4/4 it is too strong. Maybe a 4 mana 3/4, plus the different options are too imbalanced. Cu'T-e-hun and Sogg-Yaron are probably fine. Cu'T-e-hun is just adding a 1/1 to Arcane Missiles which with Small Time Cultist as a legendary card that you would only typically have as a one-of, is fine. Even if you find a way to get more, like with Sonya or something, that is probably still fine because of the mana investment(also that is more on Sonya being busted not Cu'T-e-hun). Sogg-Yaron is in a similar boat, the comparable card is Servant of Yogg-Saron, which sees next to no play, and the variance on this card would be even higher. Yes there are times where you cast a one mana Flamestrike or get a clutch Defile, but there will be just as many times that this card just Soulfires the 4/4 you have out or Pyroblasts your face for lethal. Y-Smallrj is kinda busted since an aggro deck can get a lot of value out of it, but like Trump said, just make it recruit (1) or less, still has its uses and can toolbox a mini taunt out if you need it, but doesn't make aggro not have to worry about losing gas. Ti-N-y'Zoth is busted, since a deck would arise that looks to just abuse a single copy of a Deathrattle card, maybe with Mecha'Thun or a resurgence of Hadronox. Making it "summon a 1/1 copy of a Deathrattle minion that died this game" probably fixes it. There aren't too many Deathrattles that are game breaking if you get a third proc of it, and you would have to build around it for consistency anyway. Final verdict: Make it a 4 mana 3/4, make Y-Smallrj recruit (1) and make Ti-N-y'Zoth summon a 1/1 copy of a Deathrattle that died, and boom, card fixed. As a legendary card it is fine and there are legendary cards that give more value on their own for less investment already.

a 4Mana 4/4 that draws a card would be op this isn't draw but discover, so even more op and this doesn't get "a card", but a mini old god, which is much stronger than a normal card compared to normal cards, cthun is stronger by 1mana, yshaarj by 1.5mana, and nzoth by a lot.

Fast fingers seems like it would let you see your opponents hand, which seems a little unfair. Maybe steal a random card and rework cost? Or maybe discover a copy of a card in your opponents hand? That ruins the disruption tho so idk

I mean, there's been combo disrupter cards before, and stealing them doesn't really do much if it doesn't fit your deck. Like Demonic Project was played for some time to simply destroy any combo.

Trump's card is a better disruption card than demonic. Demonic sucks because you lose card advantage and is dead in most matchups.

Regarding the first one and certain classes getting secrets whilst others don't conversation/argument/fucking whatever I always looked at paladin secrets as reinforcements especially if you read the secrets, Redemption being a holy effect and the same with the one that turns the opponent minion to 1 health, In my opinion all the classes that currently have secrets are "perfect" for what classes should HOWEVER Warlock I can kinda see an argument for but the cost would have to be SUPER weird, like say a secret that COST the warlock some health to play or dealt damage to him, and say caused the next spell the opponent cast to deal damage equal to the mana cost to the opponent (1 star for wording), Shaman should never get secrets the equivalent to secrets I could see would be totems that perhaps have a hidden choose one effect (could be worded as "pick one" so it doesn't overlap/synergies with Druid , say like a idk 3 cost totem that either summoned a copy of the next minion played by the opponent or had a deathrattle of +1/+1 (horrible hidden effect as they dont really make sense together but you have to remember that shaman totems aren't "meant" to be aggressive or have serious magical effects like say the opposite was or destroy the next minion the opponent plays doesn't make sense as far as a Shaman summoning a totem with a magical rocket launcher on it capable of destroying an Old God such as C'thun Druid have the Fatespinner effect and need that to be a deathrattle for balance reasons as trump said (balance/design), the effect would be way to weak if it was a hidden effect that left when the card was destroyed (the counterspell effect) as it just wouldn't see play and I don't see Druids having the ability to have secrets as tasteful, unless it was kinda a trap/summon effect like hunter, say "Summon a 3/3 (Druid?) to attack the next minion your opponent plays (Maybe summons? Idk) and I'm not sure what cost that would have to be to be okay balance wise, i can see it being hugely ahead of curve stat wise if the "Druid" who attacked then dissipated but idk. Warrior doesn't make any sense as far as secrets go but I could see a Kamikaze deathrattle effect like Fatespinner designed like the minion was nobly dying for his fellow men/beast/women (Don't hurt me feminists I put women in) say like actually the same effect as Fatespinner but maybe changed the stats/cost/stats given/damage dealt so that it isn't a dupe. Priest taste would be weird but could have secrets that are PURELY Holy Effects like some of Paladins (By holy i mean like blessings essentially not like a religious thing but essentially a religious thing) but it being a secret wouldn't make tons of sense, say the next minion your opponent attacks is healed for 4 health, or a reword/work of explosive runes to make it seem like a holy smite type name. Wow i put WAY to much thought/effort into this if you have any questions ask (Originally made in response to a comment but posted as a comment anyway)

Metro-Gnomes are only a 3/2 during your opponent's turn, since they take 1 "damage" at the start of yours. Then a 4/3, 5/4, etc. If anything they'd be too weak for standard. A very annoying card though since it's either far too weak or far too strong depending on if your opponent has an immediate answer or not.

Id say fast fingers shouldnt be printed at all, but if printed, should cost 5 mana or a 6 mana spell that deals 2 dmg and combo steal a card. But srsly, steal shouldnt be a thing (and neither should demonic project be one) death grip is fine due to it being hard to get tho.

Has to deal 3 damage. A 3/1 that gets -1/-1 is a 2/1.
