Man... I just made a really nice rouge C'thun deck and now I'm really happy. I love Hearthstone. Most Blizzard games completely failed to draw me in, last one that truly got me interested was Star Craft (the original one), but this expansion seems genuinely fun. Plus this is a great time to play, when people are trying all kinds of crazy decks and you don't get repeatedly stomped in the formative stages of designing your deck.

+darkchiron It's actually really dumb, when checking for c'thun's attack and health (eg on the buff cards like klaxxi and ancient shield bearer) it doesn't ACTUALLY check what c'thun's attack is, only how much it's been buffed. I know this because i was playing as a paladin against a warrior c'thun deck, and I aldor peacekeepered his c'thun "Setting it's attack to 1". but then he still gained 10 armour off of the shield bearer and i nearly lost because of it. But yeah the entomb/c'thun interaction is interesting

I remeber from Joey the Passion how incredibly easy it was to summon Exodia - the two cards that draw monsters with Attack or Defense under 1500, than Time Machine, then repeat. Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity were crazy as well. I guess all those cards are banned and now it's more challenging to summon it? Or nobody plays Exodia decks in Yu-Gi-Oh anymore?

This deck is quite good, has strong board clear against almost any aggro deck, can hold pretty good against control, C'Thun deck, combo isn't actually needed for win, most of the time enemy will just surrender after I play 2-3 board clear, then heal myself up to almost full with Darkshire Alchemist if sometimes it goes wrong, you can rely on RNG part of deck like Museum Curator, Elise, Forbidden Shaping and hope for the best, it also works pretty good against heavy control this way. It's quite fun to play and more reliable than C'Thun priest.

I think Cathun decks keeps the card on the left as a tally as opposed to being related to the cards actual stats. Once when i played a deck, i aldor peacekeepered their cathun from like a 14/14 to a 3/3, but when they played a card needing cathun to be 10 atck or more, it still counted it as if it was its normal stats and got the buff

Meaning he doesn't know if it was. Pit Lord luck also has no basis for your argument of his judgement of the c'thun deck. If he got a basic 4/4 for example then it would have done roughly the same thing. Trump never once said blindly the deck was bad and his opponent is playing a bad deck, he simply stated there may be too much c'thun tech and not enough strong battlecry/deathrattle/value minions to make up for the slighly weaker less value c'thun cards.

+Manslayer2009 The entire game was snowballed off of the Pit Lord being 6 health and not killable by a 3/6+2/3. If it was "just a 4/4", there'd be 2 3/4s, no 2/3 in play for Cabal, and nothing on Trump's board to fight with. He would've lost the entirety of his board presence AND Cabal would've come up empty. So when he brags about outvaluing the enemy's minions during all of this, it's based entirely on him getting insanely lucky with probably the 2nd best card he could've gotten from an inconsistent and generally poor card. While he himself is playing utility 4/5s for 5 and 6 mana which are themselves low value minions as well and, as such, the actual minion value in his deck is ALSO very low. In fact, many minions he has are even lower value than his opponent's. Thus I was a bit triggered into expressing frustration with his very hypocritical and unfair criticism based entirely on him RNGing his way to a lead he in no way earned, because it was unfounded and arrogant. It's like when your opponent rolls Doomsayer from Piloted Shredder, and your response to the situation is to brag about your skill and decision-making.

Although generally, from my experience, C'thun games never last more than a few turns after the Sleeper hits the field.

Each player has there own C'thun ticks. If you never buffed a c'thun, your opponents c'thun will be @6 in your deck. If you buffed your own c'thun to 20 attack, then entombed his c'thun. your new c'thun will be @20 as well as your own c'thun.

I played a priest Velen, Volasj deck where my win condition was for Velen to stay alive for one turn. If he does you can Volasj mind blast mind blast for 40 and then attack for 7 with Velen which was even effective against heavy armored warriors. It was quite inconsistent though 😂 warrior is the only class you need that much damage for and they have some very easy Velen clears

It's much better to try for an extra 1 power on board and set up to trade with the toad next turn. Especially considering the type of deck he's intending to make here, he should know that a 3/2 on turn 2 being left alone can deal a lot of potential damage over the course of the game.

ktktktktktktkt ok. trump's way: 50% to hit cleric, draw a card and keep cleric or 1/2 on the board vs toad your way: 33% to hit cleric no extra draw with a 1/2 on the board vs toad or 66% to hit face/curator, leaving a 1/1 and a 1/~2 on the board vs toad. best case for trump: 1/3 with a extra card, toad hit cleric and 1 dmg goes to face. best case for you: 1/1 and 1/2 on the board, toad hit curator, and the extra dmg goes 50/50 between face and cleric. trumps play goes for a 50/50 with the good result being draw an extra card, while losing cleric and leaving the toad your plays goes for a 33/66 and after for a 50/50 for taking down the toad while losing cleric and curator and drawing no extra cards so, the plays are so close, it's really dumb of you to call it a missplay... missplay wouldve been something like killing the bat with only cleric on board and after that play curator. well, that's my two cents anyway, and sorry for my bad english ^^

I don't like the interaction with entomb and C'Thun. For League of Explorers, entombing an enemy minion would make your Djinni go back because their card becomes "friendly" but when you entomb their C'Thun it is still theirs and not yours. Theoretically, entombing a C'Thun should then apply THEIR C'Thun buffs to C'Thun in your deck. It retains the stat line for their side, it remains their C'Thun for cards such as Veklor and it also states "wherever it is" but doesn't apply in your deck. I think it's just very poorly thought out and is the best of both worlds for the C'Thun player.

I really dont like the new Hearthstone extension, the Cthun card has changed how everyone plays the game... Plus the standard version, they take away so many good cards, you cant even use heal bots in standard. All everyone does now is build up Cthun up as much as possible and thats pretty much the game. Last game this guy built Cthun up to 30 damage before he played it.. So basically it can do 60 damage in 2 moves.
