It's an okay card man, there's plenty of cards worse than it. 50/50 odds means you should expect to kill one thing with it, which is a 1 for 1 trade which is fine. Sometimes it actually kills two things which is great. Of course, sometimes it hits face twice and causes you to lose the game, which is terrible, but at least it had the potential to get value, unlike Dalaran Mage and Charge (which the Warmaul was up against).

After GvG and playing a good amount of arena, here's my new tier list on which classes are best in general. Note: this is my own opinion based on how often I go twelve wins versus flop runs. This also assumes you got an average to above average deck, as any class with an insane deck can easily go twelve wins and be amazing. 1. Paladin. Uther is the new king of arena. Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle are amazing cards you see pretty often (despite Muster being rare), and the stickiness of new cards like Shieldbot and Piloted Shredder mean that you have a very high chance of having stuff to put Blessing of Kings on, making that card even better than before. Arena is also often now far more aggressive, and Paladin can either be the aggressor with Avenge, cheap minions, and Truesilver, or he can halt aggression toward him with Consecration clears followed with Guardian of Kings healing. Paladin is generally weak against Mage and Druid, but with enough strong Paladin commons he should be alright. 2. Priest. Anduin got three new cards that can simply win the game on their own, and two of them are common! Those cards are Shrinkmeister, Velen's Chosen, and Lightbomb. Shrinkmeister can give you a free kill or allow some clever kills involving Shadow Word Pain and Shadow Madness. Velen's Chosen is really unfair some games when played early. It's even better than Blessing of Kings because Priest can heal the chosen minion afterward. Finally, Lightbomb can potentially get like a 6 for 1 trade and allows insane comebacks. Along with the old Dark Cultist, Temple Enforcer, Shadow Word Death, Holy Nova, and Mind Control, Priest is a beast. His only weak matchup is Paladin. 3. Mage. As much as I hate to admit it, Jaina isn't just popular in arena, she's really strong too. She's usually just packing the same old tricks she's always had, those being Flamestrike, Water Elemental, and Fireball/Polymorph, but Flamecannon is a great new tool to annoy the opponent, and sometimes Unstable Portal wins the game all on its own. I do wish people would stop picking her so often though, as I get really tired of playing around Flamestrike all the time. Mage is only weak to Priest and Hunter. 4. Hunter. I think Rexxar is a lot better now in arena. Not because of any new Hunter cards (Glaivezooka is the only card that's pretty good), but because a lot more low cost minions are in the game and it's easier to draft an aggressive deck. Hunters should board control until turn 6 or so, and if they are in a good position, just hit all face afterward and even if the opponent clears the board they just inevitably die to the hero ability. I find Hunter to be quite strong against Mage and usually Paladin (unless he's got a lot of heals). Hunter usually is weak to Priest and Warrior. 5. Warlock. Just like how Hunter got way better with GvG, so did Warlock. The aggressive fast early game decks just work far better now. In addition, Floating Watcher occasionally snowballs out of control, which makes Voidcaller even better, and Dark Bomb is a wonderful new card. In the past, I'd find that Warlock would have a hand full of minions and be unable to deal with a threat on the board, but Dark Bomb is a solution to that. Warlock's main weaknesses are Mage and Hunter. 6. Druid. I don't think this class is all that strong. He relies a lot on Swipe to board clear, but most of the time Swipe just doesn't do enough. Almost every time I lose with Druid it's for the same reason: he has no good way to deal with huge minions. Recycle is kind of okay, but it's a rare. If I'm a little behind going into the mid-late game and my opponent plays an Ogre, then I just lose. I have to play Ironbarks and hope they work, but the opponent seems to always have removal for it. Of course, Ancient of War and Lore can often win you the game by themself, but too bad those are epics and you usually don't get one. 7. Shaman. Shamans are just not that great anymore. Kripp said it best: your success with Shaman is entirely on how many Fire Elementals you get, which makes the class pretty dumb. Sometimes Zap-o-matic wins the game all on its own, but that has more to do with your opponent having a poor draw than on Shaman being good. I hate Crackle, and I hate having to rely on it. His epics are terrible now, and I've had to take the 2/5 Murloc so many times already. Perhaps if Lightning Storm was a common instead of a rare, the class would be far higher on this list, but I almost never get that card, and most people just play as many cards as they can on me and I can't do anything about it. It's a shame too, since Shaman used to be my favorite class, but nowadays for me, even my wonderful Shaman arena decks only get to ten wins. 8. Rogue. I think Valeera is really weak now. To get a nice Rogue deck, you need a good amount of weapons or weapon buffs, you need a strong early game, you need card draw to refuel yourself after you've run out of stuff, AND you need some healing so you don't get topdeck Fireball'd and such. Most of the time, you just don't get all this stuff. Rogue is so absurdly weak to Mage, getting totally wrecked by Fireball, Flamestrike, and Water Elemental. Goblin Auto-barber and Tinker's Oil are both awesome new cards, but in my mediocre Rogue decks, I often find a 2/2 weapon to not be big enough, and for Tinker's Oil to often be just a six mana Truesilver, which usually sucks. 9. Warrior. This class is often just so bad in arena. GvG offered him no favors, giving him a terrible new weapon and a lot of minions with mediocre to poor stats. He is still completely reliant on drafting a lot of Fiery War Ax and Death's Bite to do well, and if you get enough of those, yes you can do well, but otherwise you'll have a painful time. Warrior has a poor matchup against Mage (because of Water Elemental) and Paladin (because of the Silver Hand Recruits), and because those are the two most popular classes in arena, Warrior usually has to have a fantastic deck to break even at 7 wins. From my experience, I need the aid of either a Gorehowl or a Brawl to get twelve wins as a Warrior. Stacking weapons usually can only get you so far.

I actually think druid is better than you think. Yes, it's hard to build a 12 win deck but it's very difficult to do bad with him. It's consistently average (6-9 wins) for me whereas something like mage can do either extremely well or very poorly.

I agree wholeheartedly about Paladin, not so much that they're amazing but that they have really good consistency with their card picks. Many cards synergise with their hero ability and the new cards from gvg have all been quite strong for Pally. They're a great class to get at least 3/3 results without having to rely on great epics/rares to push them into 6/3 land. I've had a shaman draft with 4 fire ele's and went 1/3. So...eh. I also agree with crackle having too much variance to be a good pick, though i've had my share of good and bad rolls with it I just hate the extra rng it brings to arena. I think Rogue is actually stronger than Druid and Shaman, their cheap early removal keeps them from drowning against the new aggro/tempo style arena takes on nowadays. Although If your mana curve is too high it's hard to use their combo cards and you'd probably sink.

He might be on the fence about doing them at all. The problem is that they do interfere with other content, and they have a tendency to get out of date, especially if there's a patch or something during the time the videos are released. A lot of people complained about the F2P's, especially when the last one kind of failed.

Duncan Van Ooyen Sigh, that's a shame. Those series served as a guideline for numerous poor HS players. And you can't really say the F2P rogue run failed completely because rank 3 is better than a lot of watchers could dream of reaching. Does anybody else do F2P runs with non-zoo/hunter decks these days?

Actually, undertaker isn't that strong in zoo. Like if you won't kill him they might buff him once whereas leave him alive vs hunter and you're in some deep trouble. Zoo used it because it was 'good enough' as a 1 drop but running a deathrattle zoo is kind of counter intuitive since it still would be slower than say hunter.

We already have like Zombie Chow and Flame Imp. A 1 mana 2/2 would probably not be that great anyways since it dies to 2/3 minions. Worgen Infiltrator is better because the stealth means you can hide it until a good trade comes up.

It's not op, I'm not even sure it's good, but there's just no vanilla 2/2 out there, even if it's a sort of class card with some effect like Northshire Cleric who's a 1 mana 1/3, which doesn't exist as a neutral but does have a cool effect that makes it run in the majority of priest decks.

See, class cards are meant to be a bit stronger in terms of 1 drops (for instance, mana wyrm and void walker are both 1/3s with an added affect) All of the 1/2 or 2/1 1 drops in the neutral category have some special text associated with them, like undertakers stat gains, micro machine, (which is basically a 2/2 gain stats) etc. Just adding in a plain 2/2 is actually a bit OP. The reason that 1/2s are good is because they are survivable, 2/1s don't see much play because there are too many classes with hero powers that deal 1 damage. Making a 2/2 means that it can survive most hero abilities, and it can trade with any 3/2 2 drop.

The Creator I mentioned Worgen Infiltrator, and how it may as well be a 2/2 because it dodges the hero abilities. Nobody runs that card anyway, so I don't see why they'd run an actual 2/2. Hunters run Leper Gnome and Clockwork because they have deathrattle and buff the broken that is Undertaker. After the Undertaker nerf I imagine only Leper will stick around in Hunter and Clockwork in mech aggro.

tkdmh It took me quite a long time to get past 7 wins initially, but now I've had one 12-win run and a few 11s and 10s. Watching Trump is bound to help :) And I found MrShine's videos, especially the Arena Quiz (where Trump got his iDraft idea from) quite helpful too.

There is 50% chance to hit the target. When he misses there is another 50% chance to hit a minion. 2 times 50% makes 75%

Why did trump take heal bot and loot hoarder? Loot hoarders basically trade 2 mana for 2 mana and heal bot goes against what trump says about board control being supreme

G and G completely shafted warriors for arena. Easily the two of the worst three common cards of all the classes...if you ranked all 18 Warmaul and the craptastic Warbot are 16th and 18th in quality with only the extremely crappy Cobra shot preventing a clean sweep of bad.

Indeed. Warrior already had a tough time in arena thanks to his hero ability being worthless unless you got stacks and stacks of weapons, and if you managed to do that, then you would often have the horrible situation where you draw none of your weapons or all of them at once and lose. Warrior is easily the weakest class in arena with a mediocre deck, but hey, somebody has to be the worst. As for GvG and arena, pretty much none of the new Warrior cards are very good. The only nice thing is sometimes Harvest Golem gets +2/+2 from Screwjank Clunker. Crush can also be pretty nice if you have a Death's Bite deathrattle ready to go off. Other than that, Warrior is the same old thing, relying on War Ax and Death's Bite and good neutral cards to win. That's pretty tough to do sometimes when people love to draft Swamp Ooze and Mages are everywhere with Water Elemental and Snowchugger....
