I still remember wanting to be a Fireman when I "grew up" based on watching this! Well they never did attend any actual fires, and always did that concert on Thursdays.

Gordon Murray said he did write a storyline in which the firemen actually did attend a fire, but he said that he did a few test animations of flames, and he felt the end result wasn't good enough.

It is cleverly observed actually. The fire station in a Francois Premier revival style of about 1870, a long 1840s terrace, a greater mix of buildings around the Square. Does capture the look of an English town.

Freddie Phillips guitar works was masterful.When these were on the telly I would take my guitar to my sons nursery on our parent afternoon and play them.I confess Mrs brannerman the teacher enjoyed them more than the kids.

@@robnewman6101 I’m agree Trumpton is a town show featuring the townspeople’s and the fire brigade including the police service and ambulance service too Fireman Sam features the fire service in the Fictional town in Pontypandy North Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and they only have 1 emergency service which is the Pontypandy Fire Service or the Pontypandy Fire Brigade there is no Pontypandy Police Service that time including a Ambulance Service, The Ambulance Service came In Series 5 which was Helen Flood Pontypandy Nurse And Also Mountain Rescue Service runs by Tom Thomas also the Ocean Rescue Team was First appears in Series 6 and Series 10 Animal Rescue Team, And Police came in Series 12 in the CGI Series Of Fireman Sam in 2020.

In Wacky Races the Arkansas Chuggabug was driven by Lazy Luke using his feet and usually with his eyes closed and in the Perils of Penelope Pitstop the Anthill Mobs car was usually driven by Snoozy who again was asleep at the wheel
