Overview: TruSpark is a motivations-based curriculum and assessment tool for teens and tweens. (As an adult, I also enjoyed working through it!) You can complete the curriculum and assessment process in the course of an afternoon or break it up over a couple of days.
The curriculum is broken into three levels. These levels help students understand the difference
between having a job and doing meaningful work and also dive into discovering and understanding
core motivations. Then TruSpark matches those motivations to a variety of career fields and gives
students a chance to explore the different career matches across various levels of education and
preparation. So, in the end, students not only have a better idea of their core motivations, but they also see how those core motivations promote fulfillment and purpose in their career matches.
All that to say, I'm happy to recommend TruSpark for any family with teens and tweens. Through
their assessments and exploration of core motivations, they provide valuable tools that help
students understand how they're wired, recognize what makes them come alive, and find career paths that will bring fulfillment and meaning to their lives.
