This really should be taught in high-school. The education system should provide different classes to students of different interests. If they had the main curriculum classes for students who were unsure and then as you developed your personality of found the field of study that interest you further, you could then branch off into one of these categories and take specific classes that would lead you on track for taking the right major and finding the best career.

It is taught in high school in my case! I am actually about to report this topic in front of my class the discuss anything about this.

I am Investigative and Artistic and for a long time I believed I had to choose between a scientific career or an artistic discipline because I saw the personalities as non additive. I started to go to infographics and I absolutely hated it. But then I follow the results of Holland Codes (IAr/s) and started to study human sciences and I absolutely loved it. So I think the artistic dimension is also about how your intuition works. In my case as an investigative fellow type, the majority of my ideas are intuitive and are explained later. It seems to have a connection with my non conformism

If you take the ASVAB test in high school, you'll get results which signify which career personality types you express more. I remember I did it back when I was in high school and my top 3 were creative, social, and problem solver.

Do you need to apply to your major already in the college you are applying in? Or can you first apply to college and then after you get accepted can you apply to your major a few months later after the months of acceptance of college pass?
@SupertutorTV5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the college. Every college is different-- and this also differs by major at many schools. Many will allow some flexibility after you enroll if you stay in the same "school" (i.e. engineering, letters/arts/sciences, school of public health, etc.). For example, at many UC schools you can go in undeclared to the school of arts and sciences and then easily major in English, but not engineering. Engineering transfers are more challenging there. Most universities have some sort of method for switching majors in any case but often the switch is not guaranteed. Some won't allow transfers in or out (such as a competitive music program, an art program, or top ranked specialty major). Other schools (like Stanford) don't care: if you get in you can major in whatever you want as long as you declare by a certain date in your undergrad career.

I am wondering why of all of these career advisors, no one has spoken about the negative aspects of having a career. Doesn´t it mean devoting one'self to do the same or similer job for over 20-50 years. It also shows how limited people are and how limited they choose to stay. It is a major cause of stress because there are others competing, in higher positions who are or maybe blocking you and those in lower positions who are trying to get ahead of you, in one way or another. These are the main reasons for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, RIGHT? Why not do a video about this side of, "The Career"?
@Potencyfunction5 ай бұрын
Those who have problems with substances might be from gray mattery, Do u need a carrier advisor or are you competent from 5 years onwards to know what you like and what you dont like? Going trough elementary school they already makes you think what u want to be. Why to think at the fact that u finish 8 classes and need to go in high school. There u already choose a vocational profession such carpenter or police officer- either you go in a high school in order to follow a college. Why do u need a carrier guidance question online- u are not prepared all life to be a slave or to be free? Why do you need to hold others at your level of stupidity ?

@gwendolynlewis7278 I suggest you that you read Job Headhunters, and Make a Difference Psychologic knowledge in matching job requierment s when you will be in the company ever. There u learn to dinstinguish thinking types and levels, whay is it you need to do for your next job interview, what questions shall you expect, how your peronality and level of competency can carry out the consulation and how u contribute to the companys goals and finaces earnings. In case u dont suffer of mental retardation and u are not able to understand all those things.

Can your Holland Code Change? The first time I take the test within my college it was SEC in that order and now I took it again like 3 months later and change into ESA which is really weird is I have two out of the three letters but my Conventional and Artistic flip flop, its usually near in score by a couple pts so I can understand, Realistic and Investigate are nowhere near being my top three ever only Artistic and Conventional keep fighting for third while Social and Enterprising have been consist for the most part I guess

Search in google for carriere or job Architypes, after search the Five Personality Test "OCEAN" eventually try an IQ test if find gratis online. If you dont find IQ gratis online,than you can go at local library and loan a book for few amount of money, in order to discover your IQ. If you have 100 / IQ score ) than you are normal. If you have bellow 100 than ,that means that you are creative and if u have above 100 than that means you are analytical or convergent thinking type.

How do those creative be analytic/convergent thinking have something in common? Those analytical have active blood, they dont have patience for creativity and farry tales- So congrats if u have them all... Just dont think to much so you don t´ get bored with such an analytical pesonality.
