I just got home from a missions trip from africa and I realized that the reason why it seems like God moves more there is because there is literal hunger which leads them to rely on God more. These days, many Christians have access to so much. food, water, a/c, endless entertainment, etc. Our appetites are so filled with endless amounts of things which lead us to worry and hold on to things. That’s why fasting is great, because we gain more of an appetite for life, which allows you to physically and spiritually long for Christ.

I am 42 years old now, I have a mild case of Asperger's syndrome, and I have been addicted to computer games ever since I was 14 years old; it first began with a game called 'Doom.' I believe in Jesus totally, but I cannot help continuing seeking pleasure, which is found through computer games. If anyone can pray that God will save me from myself, that would be great.

I am glad that Francis Chan is speaking to those who want to be mature Christians. He was preaching unity among those who have no intention of living the life that Christ calls us to. The name-it-&-claim-it property gospel is tailor made for materialistic Americans who want to hoard their resources and live according to their lusts and the world's values. I just realized that systematic theology conveniently avoids the issue of Jesus' emphasis on loving our brother in such a way that we die to self. John says he must decrease so that HE may increase. There are churches preaching racism and division in the name of Christ! Jesus said we shall do GREATER WORKS than He did. Yes, we need great faith but we also need the great love that only a regenerated heart can have. TRUST & OBEY

I’ve been feeling this way with my co worker. Always people pleasing him and other co workers and ultimately feeling so uncomfortable around him. I pray for my co workers every day. God is there and I know he’s moving but we all fall short sometimes. But yesterday was awesome when my co worker walked through the door and apologized to me and I to him. It’s amazing that God can do that and what’s even more amazing is how my manager handled things. Please everyone continue to pray for my co workers and for me we need it!!!

We can be we willing but yet sometimes struggling, others are struggling because they are yet not willing(the latter may want to ask themselves where they are really standing). The good deeds that you are doing will be considered once you are in heaven and you will be rewarded for them, but those deeds ARE NOT what gets you into heaven. To think that they do insults God and diminishes His sacrifice. It is great that God is using you so extensively, but it has nothing to do with you gaining salvation.

The people today are dead too the word of God, because they are constantly being fed the false gospel of the beast/false prophet. The only thing that separates you from salvation is you still living in your willful sin and wickedness. Not everyone that says lord lord, will enter into the kingdom, except they who dose my fathers will in heaven? Why will som many do so many wonderfully things in his name and still not be found accepted? Because they don’t do what God told them too. They never knew Jesus hence why they never knew God, tough they imagined they did. They gave image too the beast, the false Christ. That somehow by Jesus suffering on the cross and you believing in that finished work, you are imputed by that righteousness or that there is some form of penal substitution, where you get salvation by doing nothing of yourself. Yes you are saved through faith, but only by doing works worthy of repentance! Your faith is the works that rejects the carnal lust of the flesh and crucifying the body with is passion and desires. Use your common sense, who would ever tell you that sin won’t kill you? God or Satan? It’s the same old lie that caused all of this. You can not be of a sinful nature and have free will. Each moment you get drunk, and each moment you comity adultery, and each moment you live immoral against Gods word, you’re digging yourself deeper into that very pit you have made you’re home. He how wants eternal life must pick up their cross and deny themself daily, and follow Jesus Christ peace be upon him! Stop making excuses for your willful sins! You were not born into sin, you were born surrounded by sin, learning about it form your parents and friends and teachers etc. Whoever says they have no sin= have never sinned is a liar, but whoever says I no longer sin, and walks in the light and keeps themself clean and obedient too the word of God, will be forgiven by the blood of Christ and sanctified and walking according to the word, they are not a liar and knows Jesus! Be holy, because I am also holy!! Watch the channel Holdingfirmly, they will teach you the true gospel, not the phony sin,repent,sin,repent that so many put their faith in today. The road too salvation is narrow and few are there who find it for a reason. If it was easy, everybody would do it! No, it’s easy too give in too the world and it’s pleasures, but by doing that your fruit and payment is the same as he who is in the world. I know these may seem like hard words, but trust me you will understand if you are seeking the truth too have fellowship with God.

@@LoveHope-mi4lx Of course! If you mean brings you into Heaven, it is the enemy that wants you to be worried about such things, God wants us to be assured in our salvation. I believe the only way you can be considered unsaved is if you willingly, and purposefully, continue living in sin despite coming to Christ. Now this doesn't mean you will never fall into sin, but if you're intentionally sinning and saying "There's nothing wrong with this!" when you know very well it is a sin, then I would question your salvation to begin with...(or if you believe in a false Gospel) I imagine you aren't doing that, so don't worry so much! Trust in Jesus, He's not a cruel and strict daddy, He loves you very much and He understands we mess up from time to time. I will pray for you for sure, though! God bless!

This was beautiful. I asked a question about the verse in 1 John because we sin everyday (i knew generally what it meant but wasn’t sure how to explain it). This made me think and be grateful that even though i was brought up in a christian family, they are not the foundation of my faith. I’ve been through the valleys and the peaks. There have been great times and terrible times. My testimony is long - but through Jesus my quiet time has changed. Now all i want is to see others come to Christ. The church isn't perfect, true. But the unbelief of the church is a lot better than the unbelief of the rest of the world. At least inside the 'church' there is hope.

We all have free will while we are alive on earth, but there will come a day for all of us that after we die we will come before God, and when you are in the presents of the Almighty you will bow naturally

When it says “every knee shall bow” before God / Christ, this is at the consummation of all things - the end of time, as it were. Then everyone, great and small, rich and poor, demon and saint, will bow because there it will be seen clearly who really is Lord of all: Jesus Christ the Holy One of God. This is the final surrender, if you like. The final acknowledgement. Up till then men and hosts of wickedness deny this and fight against the sovereign Lordship of Christ. But at that time, when God wraps up this world and turns off the lights, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. So, at them moment we have free will to reject Christ (although there are issues surrounding that one!) but at the end, all will surrender and acknowledge Him Lord. I'm genuinely curious: it seems like this teaching is meant for a group that doesn't know JC. Is APU like mostly church kids and faculty? I think it's cool that you're lighting a fire under people's asses to get right with the Lord, but I think it could be risky to tell people to go be alone. Calling on people to actually receive Jesus Christ into their lives and seek after real significance in other people's lives is really dope. Real love isn't this big feelings driven thing between me and God, it's not feelings based, it's based on what God did for us on the cross and our new identity in Him, and God works through us in our relationships with one another. The feelings aren't always going to be there. I trust the Lord, not my feelings. I know there's a few points there, I'm done rambling now.

I put no investment in denominations. I'm sure you will find a truly born again Christian in all of them. So what if they have their doctrines a little mixed up. All my favourite preachers all disagree on one subject or another. Does it mean they love the Lord any less? Does it mean their names aren't still written in the book of life? Of course not. Exam YOURSELFS daily to see if you are in the faith, not others. Just ask yourself; is your comment really being constructive to the church? Francis Chan's preaching I have no doubt has brought hundreds of believers to the Lord, so what if I may not agree with everything he says 🙏 Let's not be so quick to discredit preachers who are spreading the word of God. The bible tells us that Christ IMPUTES his righteousness to the person to bring about salvation. good works will NATURALLY follow But those good works add NOTHING to our salvation. Romes gospel is a works based salvation it is a FALSE gospel. The word of God tells us that salvation is a gift from God from beginning to end the Father gives a people to the Son the Son offers up a ransom sacrifice the Holy Spirit seals unto the day of redemption. It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone . A great number of people have been martyred for standing up for the gospel of Jesus Christ and you want to dismiss it as some minor differences?? We are talking about the gospel message of Jesus Christ you get that wrong you missed it completely. ROME IS AN APOSTATE CHURCH. Maybe you should study what the entire protestant reformation was about. ✝️

I never disagreed that their doctrine is wrong, infact on the contrary the Catholic Church's doctrine doesn't seem to be biblically based at all,...I agree. We are saved by grace and grace alone, our best works are like filthy rags to him. I know this! And I thank the Lord for it every day. I'm not be argumentative which you seem to be. I'm simply saying there are pockets of believers in every denomination that love the Lord with all their hearts, false doctrine or not. But in my experience those even brought up with the wrong doctrine are eventually brought to the light by the Holy spirit. As the bible says; discernment only comes from the Holy spirit. But merely going online and pointing your finger at every preacher you don't agree with isn't constructive is it? Maybe stop and just ask yourself; is this really constructive to the kingdom of heaven? Or better yet, stop and ask yourself how many people have you brought to a place where they want to find out more about God? Merely getting to ask that question is better than not at all. The best witness of God's power is God himself. Francis is getting many people to seek that. Can you please send me the video where he is turning to Catholicism? I think he is making it easier for us to understand. It must actually mean practice sinning. Because everyone sins, right? No matter how long you have been a Christian for, no matter how holy you are (even Moses, the most holy man, excluding Jesus of course, sinned), you will sometimes sin. That's just the truth, unfortunately. But there is a difference between sinning and regretting it, and trying not to do that sin again, at least putting it off for as long as you can, and then there is sinning without caring or feeling any remorse. Do you see the difference?

My friend, first we are not under Moses law anymore, in the old testament they had 613 levitical laws that they had to keep, but through Jesus that old law was nailed to the cross (COLOSSIANS 2:14) But I believe that we are still called to follow the 10 commandments and do our best to follow Jesus's example. You are at a very decisive point with your faith right now, I struggled with some of the same questions you are asking, and the most important thing you can do is spend a few minutes everyday praying and asking God to reveal His ways to you in His word. It's not meant to be easy, but like Jesus said; "Seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you." God bless

There is no "grace" in this teaching. A free gift does not require you to then give 99% of your income to charity and think that you will not ever commit another sin. That is pride telling you that. You are trying to earn something that is already free. Manifestation of the holy spirit in a saved person is to be expected, but not required for salvation.

Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. I think that is too much information to give to someone.. all that information might push that person away. Perhaps it is better to become their friend first, give them a more basic definition of being saved, and they can go a little deeper next time, and even deeper next time etc, not laying it all out at once. But love must come first; show that person love, and then share the gospel, and I am sure that they will be much more receptive to the gospel once they experience that love, and hopefully they ask WHY do we love like that.

Our own unrighteousness before God is revealed through looking at God’s law. There are none of us that measure up to God’s standard of righteousness, not one (Romans 3:9-11). As a result, we are all condemned because of our sin, and must accept the consequences. “For the wages of sin is death…”- (Rom 6:23) “…Who shall be punished with everlast￾ing destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power” - (2 Thess 1:9) It is through realizing our depraved condition before God that we see our need for salvation from this judgment. We do not need salvation from tornadoes, thieves, murderers, or poverty as much as we need salvation from a more eternal condition - sin, death, and the judgment of God against sin. All that is required to join the mainstream is to jump in the river and play dead. You will be in the mainstream, and will naturally go downstream with all the dead things. But what if we need to go upstream? Going downstream is living life by your circumstances, in the confidence of your flesh, where knowledge of the truth is a non-essential. Downstream progress is not by preaching the gospel of Christ. Going upstream is living life in Christ, putting your confidence in Him, living by knowledge of the truth rightly divided. Upstream progress requires a change of mind brought about by preaching the cross. If you have been saved by the gospel of the grace of God, believe your Bible, and know how to rightly divide it, then you are not part of the mainstream. It takes something living and active to move against the current. You have been quickened in Christ Jesus, you are alive! It’s time to stop floating, and start swimming. From the perspective of what is flowing downstream, things moving up are not “going with the flow” of progress. They are obstacles in the way. You will be seen as such. When atheists, secularists, and cultural Christians talk about the mainstream, they assume going downstream is where we all need to be. Why? Because going upstream requires too much change and makes too many ripples. The mainstream… … is natural. … feels right. … does not ruffle feathers. … is where everyone is going. … accepts everyone for who they are. … is where the majority of Christians are going. … does not resist anyone or anything (except for what goes upstream). Garbage floats downstream. What if going with the flow is going down the drain? To go upstream you must hold fast to the tow rope of God’s word rightly divided. It may feel uncomfortable, seem unnatural, cause trouble, and be contrary to many in the main. Don’t be discouraged when it seems like everything is against you, and you are not making progress. If your confidence is in Christ and how he sees you, instead of your circumstances and how others see you, you are headed in the right direction. Don’t envy those dead things going downstream (Prov 23:17). They may seem to have it easier sometimes, but they are not going the right direction. They are headed away from Christ (Phil 3:10). Establishment in the truth does not happen by letting circumstances and feelings drive you, but in Christ according to the revelation of the mystery (Rom 16:25-26). Trust your life to Christ. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, and you will rise above the tide. God has the power to stablish you, but if you are alive in Christ know that will not be in the mainstream. Hold fast! “Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.” - 2 Timothy 1:13
