Just found you. My heart and brain are on fire! Yes! I feel a rotted tapestry. I feel a walk through moldy leaves and coming upon the ruins of a castle. I’m eying my jeans right now…they look nervous. I, too, dream of an industrial machine. Been watching a lot of videos on reconditioning them in the hopes I find a cheaper one that needs a little help.

LOVE your creativity and determination. So unique! I sew a lot of heavy fabrics and divorced my Elna for a Brother with more grunt.( the Elna was ok for softer fabric, for a while). I also now use those blue 'denim ' needles...can't remember the brand off the top of my head..I'll edit later. Anyway, Brilliant work 👏 Edit..yup, Schmetz 😊

Another amaaaazing piece of work. An industrial machine would be a dream come true, in the meantime bang away on my little Elna as well. Watched a demo on a Yuki machine recently - very impressive BUT only does a straight stitch - and they are hell expensive - at that price I want a few more stitches and it must thread itself too😁
@whoiskristov24 күн бұрын
Those are great but sheeeeeesh they are expensive! Definitely needs to thread itself 😅
@tracyoduinn943822 күн бұрын
Your work is fantastic. A word of advice - unasked I know-but sometimes what you don't know takes years to affet you. Fabric - especially upholstery is covered in chemicals. To protect and give longevity. Your face shield is good for lint but not for chemicals. You seem to love what you do so if its going to be long term invest in a good mask with the appropriate filters. Denim is notoriously bad when sanded because you are releasing small particles of dye that will pass through the scarf . Watch your skin for any changes as well and maybe consider a barrier cream so you have some protection without gloves. Its a long comment but art school and working in the fabric industry taught me that its better to be careful before you have lung issues. Great work Good luck

A Dremel? Duh. Any tips on what NOT to do with it? Noticed you covered your mouth and nose - is it that messy? Can you go too deep if not careful? Could you have placed full piece of tapestry on each pant leg, since you filled it in anyway? Fascinating! Thanks…
@whoiskristov28 күн бұрын
Mouth/Nose coverage is to avoid breathing microfibers from sanding! Definitely could have used one piece of tapestry for each leg instead, would have saved so much time
