Another wonderful lecture by rabbi Jonathan Sacks He spoke about trust between individuals and society. He also draws on historian and problems of a trustless society. Honestly is essential in behavior and trust is a component of this. Let us look at yourselves and follow the steps of the great rabbi-rabbi Jonathan sacks to be honest and trust one another thereby making a better World

I couldn't believe my eyes that you deleted my comments! In the lecture, I noticed Rabbi Sacks totally misunderstood Paul's letter to the Galatians and the Romans by overlooking a/ the allegorical method employed by those Fathers b/ that Paul was thoroughly Jew (as was Jesus). Paul's encounter of the risen Messiah on the Damascus road forced him to reevaluate his understanding of Moses and the Prophets in the light of the "new"faith he was persecuting. The key to Paul's theology and to both Jew and Gentile converts was the phrase "in the Messiah." That's what Rabbi Sacks missed to consider. In other words, Hagar/Ishmael/Esau/Leah are the Jew, and Sarah/Isaac/Jacob/Rebecca are the Christian is NOT what the passages mean. Please note that I am not denying that "replacement theology" was used to wicked ends, to this day. I am arguing that Paul's letters were not the source but individuals whose understanding was beclouded by their denial of historical facts! PLEASE DO NOT DELETE MY COMMENTS. THANKS.
