If you are not having any problems don't stress yourself about it! There is a theory linking having symptoms of BII with people that have a likeliness/tend to experience autoimmune reaction of their body to things in general. At least I think I heard/read of that. Maybe research it, could give you a bit of peace of mind it does not have to happen to you or is just a matter of time.

It's not life threatening, it's just awful to live with the pain. If I had any idea what I would be going through after they have been in 17 years, I would have just gotten a lift as that is all I needed. It was not even an option brought up by the plastic surgeon at the time in 2007. Now I'm getting them removed and another lift and pray it stops this awful pain I have been going through for years.

Ladies, my biggest mistake when I got implants in 2007 is that I just wanted them full and lifted - but it was the implant rage at the time and my surgeon ( who shame on me I had little information to research) did the lift with saline implants and guess what they were still droopy, I hated them. And now I have been suffering with the BII symptoms that i just learned about 2 years ago. I am getting them removed in a month and a LIFT, thankfully I have enough mass left for the lift. If you want you breasts perky, especially if you are on the larger side and they sagged due to childbirth - JUST get a LIFT no need to put an implant in. But if you are just too small, there are no risks of implants if you don't have a background of IBS, auto immune or Fibromyalgia (which I do 2 of these in my family). I have a friend in her late 60's who had them put in and 10 years later had them removed and but new ones in, no problems. IS BII a thing, yes but again, talk to your surgeon to see if will be rght for you xoxo

Great podcast, thanks for sharing. I really resonated with you when you said it lowers your vibration in a sense because it blocks your heart chakra, I have been feeling that way. I also resonated when you said you essentially put it away- you didn’t want to think about it or that implants were the cause of issues, so you just blocked it out. I’ve been doing that for 5 years…I scheduled my explant surgery and am definitely looking forward to my new chapter.

I had my first set of saline at 20 yrs old. Those pop sometime just for no reason. Thats too young. I’ve had them changed 4 xs by now. In silicone now of course. I’ve asked every time about explant. But the surgeons say your breasts will look terrible. I’ve seen a lot of explant cases lately where the breasts look really good.

So I have 1 implant on my right side because I have a condition called Poland Syndrome (it’s pretty rare) Most plastic surgeons are pretty familiar with this condition. I was 14 when I got my first implant. I’m about to have my 4th surgery because I’ve had so many issues, I am now 23. Almost 9 years of implants and I’m about to have my 4th implant. In the last 4 years or so I started having a bunch of illness related issues but after I got my current implant in Aug of 2022, march of 2023 I started really going downhill. I found 2 weeks ago I’m having issues with my implant again so thats why I’m having my 4th breast implant surgery next Thursday. I want matching breasts (I was only born with one due to the condition) but I don’t know if it’s making me sick as I just recently learned they can make you ill. My situation is very different than most because if I have my implant removed, I only have 1 breast and that makes swim suits, bras and even tank tops so difficult. I also got my first implant pretty young and about 6 months after my first surgery, I started having some issues but didn’t relate it to my implant at all. Crazy if it is the cause. Just wanted to share a little bit of my story lol

Firstly I wanna say I'm sorry you were dealt those cards as a young child, 2nd sadly it is very likely your health struggles could be related to the implant....3rd I can't begin to imagine having to choose implant or 1 b00b/uneven chest and all the clothing struggles you have to go thru with that, and im not sure if its even a viable option for you but maybe have them remove the 1? I know I know that sounds CRAZY and I'm sure it be a HUGE trauma to tackle but if it avoids medical illness and lifelong struggles from the implant...maybe it's worth it? 🤷🏻♀️ Sending you lots of love❤

In all fairness, I have the “shelf” from my natural breasts (have never had implants). I think it comes from breast size, whether natural or implants. That being said, I’m so glad women are speaking up about their experiences with breast implants. It will never be accepted widely in the medical community until it is so loudly spoken about that they have to listen.

As a men, he doesn’t understand what is like to have other people control you, your body, and decide everything about you, whether you want it or not. Sounds about right. I recognize his empathy… but damn, men have no idea what is like to be a woman. Life is completely different for them. Can we talk about all the procedures women have to undertake with no anesthesia??? Where anything that is made for men and to men, they do everything to make them comfortable and okay. People don’t talk about endometriosis enough, and so many women that experienced excruciating period pain bc of it just had to hear “that’s just how it is”. The world has done and still does us so bad. Ugh

When I was 14 my ex recorded me doing things w/ him in secret and sent it to people in our very small school (one of which was my best friend’s little brother…who i was babysitting at the time) I didn’t even know about it until her brother said to me “I just want to let you know that he’s sending this around and telling people you have weird looking boobs” I have NEVER gotten over that (He did this as revenge after I broke up with him for cheating on me so I told him I’d have him arrested b/c he was 18 and I was a minor. I wanted a C. I woke to basically DD. Their reason: They were supposed to do a breast lift on one side. Instead of lift, they decided to just fill me more so no lift would be necessary. I didn’t get refund for lift portion either. I had gotten a great combo deal, so I didn’t push for any money back. I accepted the bigger boobs and went on with life, what else could I do. I had no idea so many women go in wanting one size and coming back with another. They really do whatever they want when ur under the knife. 😳
