Not exactly, but if you are liver patient already then you have to reduce salt intake.

Sir,I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Feb 2024. I have recovered well and resumed normal diet. However I have low Vit D (12 to 13),for which I have to take Supplements. Does absence of gall bladder hamper absorption of Vit D, and if yes ,what treatment should I follow.I live in Guwahati Assam.

Hello Yes definitely Gall bladder removal causes low absorption of fat soluble vitamin. You need to take vit D supplements repeatedly. You can also take sunlight exposure which helps body to manufacture vit D. Thank you.
