I use promix because of your recommendation from past videos. Have had great success as long as you amend it with the right stuff. Great videos and information.
@AutoGrowersАй бұрын
We have only used Pro-Mix HP for all of our grows. Autoflowers LOVE it! We amend it with, 15% worm castings (Vermis Terra brand) and some fish bone meal, and a bit Mycos. We sow our autoflower seeds directly into 5 gallon cloth pots. The soil is good for about 2-3 weeks. Taking Joe's advice, we switched to Gaia Green, and one week after sprout we top dress with Gaia @ 70/30 and fork it into the soil before watering. The Gaia Green takes over around week 3 with FANTASTIC results! The soil stays LOAMY 😀 throughout the grow, with a forking each time we top dress with Gaia (every 3-4 weeks). ProMix HP makes growing SO SIMPLE! Never any moisture or bugs. We buy off of Amazon, the 3.8 bales. Cheapest way to go and best of all, it shows up on our doorstep... Thanks for all your advice Joe! You are the MAN!

My next indoor I'm gonna try the promix HP. A lot of my homies in Canada use it.😊

I'm with you 100%. I use pro mix in my closet grow for big sativas. Currently growing a golden tiger in a 7 gallon pot . I manafolded her, and shes now 5.5 feet across and 2.5 feet wide with dozens of colas. I just use pro mix with mycos, some molasses, silacate, and gen hydro nutes. If I didnt already have a RDWC system in the tent, I'd go for organic, but theres no point since I'm already using it.

I purchase my Bails of ProMix every fall when it goes on sale No Hardware store wants to store soil or peat moss over winter so it’s normal around here to find it 45% off in early October so I will purchase up to 20 Bails . I use my owne worm casting and Hot compost in the ProMix to make soil I add Pumice to it and basically use Clatamus Coots recipe for soil I re use the soil I mix over winter and then it goes to the Outside Garden and raised beds garden and I mix new soil for my indoor grow use it 6-8 months and repeat

I treat BX & HP just the same. Great results always.
@MrKartman35Ай бұрын
BX will require less frequent irrigation as it has 14% less perlite and therefore holds more water. Greater drainage means that fully saturated there's more oxygen in the root zone with HP vs BX.

We pull up to the grow store with dump trailer to buy soil. The workers scatter like cockroaches. We buy pallets. I use lucky dog because it seems to hold less water. And works for the trees, vegetables, and herbs we grow. Wasn't happy with Sunshine #4. The hard wood cuttings don't take well in sunshine.
@derrickmason7482Ай бұрын
Been using the same two 3.8 bags of Promix since I think 2008. One was BX & one HP, but they're just mixed together now. I switched to Promix after bug and stick issues from local bags of soil, because they leave their bags out in the rain. Really happy with the Promix, it totally eliminated those issues and so easy to reuse. I just add myco to roots. I think HP drains a bit better than BX.

I work at a grow. We we're gonna run soil for some of the rooms, but it never came to fruition. Pallets upon pallets of soil were delivered and never used. They gave it away! I filled my 8 foot bed 3 times. I got about 30 3.8cu.

I run it with coco coir 5:1. HP. High porosity, BX is standard, less perlite. The problem with a lot of mixes is the added ingredients, worm castings and such. Or salted fertilizer. Add these at time of planting as especially with organic it attracts pests.
@heethnАй бұрын
I think hp has more perlite than han bx, otherwise they're the same. I use bx because that's what my shop sells and just add 20% perlite, works a treat for me.

Scene, i got a question on your coconut starter pots. Do you use them to just start them and take the plant out of it or do you plant the entire thing? They are biodegradable and claim that you should just plant it husk pot and all. Just lookng for clarity. Thanks. Cheezy poof, in western ohio.

When it comes to pro mix Fox farm in all types of soil what people don't say you also get a bunch of flies and bugs that live in the soil when you buy the bags from eggs in the beginning I use soil Fox farm I switched over to Coco 10 years ago not one fly ever since

The promix in Maryland holds way too much water. I get ocean forest and it drys alot faster. Makes me think different states get different soil?
@ShrewparadoxАй бұрын
Promix has vermiculite and that increases water storage. I would only recommend to people that have grown for a couple years because of how it holds water. I actually don't recommend it at all because cost/reward. I use ffof because it carries me through veg up to 2 weeks into flower.

Hey guys! Pretty new to growing, Infact starting my first mix in December. I have a question. Can I use promix HP and worm castings combo to grow? I'm planning to grow in 2 5-gal pots. What ratio should I use? I'll be using green rush grow and bloom nutrients mixed in water.
