Stopped in an Indigenous Reservation a couple of weeks ago (New York, unregulated reservation). They had a case of $20/$30 ounces. After speaking to some locals it sounds like they tumble the buds to get the kief off off and spray it with distillate? Has anyone heard of this? Couldn't pay me to smoke it lol.

The people to blame are the companies, and most importantly the useless regulators who have no idea what they’re doing. Government needs to step in and make it legal, regular updates to regulations and harsh punishments for breaking them. This is what happens when it’s up to the states.

When I lived in Oregon in like 2018 to 2019 the weed was exceptional. And incredibly cheap. While there Michigan became a legal state and I eventually moved back. I swear I did not get high for four months from Michigan weed. However, I have now had flower that blows Oregon out the water. I also occasionally go to Canada but I have usually bought carts so its hard to gauge how different the quality of say their flower or concentrates are. Also fun fact, in Oregon I never saw true hash. In Michigan it only recently came out. However, Ontario, had hash from roughly the beginning.

I've smoked Colorado herb and Cali herb. Colorado is over rated as hell because it's a tourist trap for herb lovers. I will say that some of the best concentrates I've ever had came from Cali though. There are a lot of home growers here in Missouri doing totally organic grows and some if it is the best I've smoked. I've been tokin' for over 40 years, so that's saying something! Michigan. Hands down. Been to alot of legal/medical shops. The testing there is strict, prices are cheap as fuck, and never once had a bad experience in shop.

I love my bud here in WA - there's more than enough options to suit anyone, from decent budget minded options to top shelf fire. I do agree with how with established markets like Cali, WA, it's gonna be easier to hit boof - but the options aren't overwhelming here like Cali can be since Olympia limits how many licenses are available. Eventually you hit paydirt and find brands that aren't trying to hide their pesticide use on flower or producing super harsh or dark extracts. OR has surprised me how quickly they're hitting the ground running though. Was there some months ago for an event in PDX and.....pretty much guesstimated what looked good (experienced consumer/industry in WA, so I do have some standards) and was pleasantly surprised. LRs going as low as $15 that were OK, house prerolls that did the trick as a pre game to the concert I was there to see....

California is the best because they have something the others don't have - the Emerald Triangle. They grow outdoors organically in the full spectrum light of the sun. The high from these flowers is special. It's a higher, broader high. The organic sungrown farmers don't use harmful pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Get some outdoor flower from Trinity, Mendocino or Humboldt counties and you will see what I mean.

If you want “the best weed” you need to start growing. I’ve been to many “reputable shops” and all the weed is overpriced, over taxed, and because of regulation and testing it’s been in a bag for months without hydration. Basically your overpaying for mids. Once you start growing, you’ll never look back. Plus growing allows you to terp hammer like a king! Never grown a plant in my life, but with a relatively simple set up I can harvest two pounds a month if I want. Why would I ever go to the dispo for a 40% tax on dried out mids. 🎤drop…

As a home beer brewer, i looked in how i could start making business out of it, and tbh. all procedures that i need to pass to start selling beer, along with taxes applied onto end product, keeping in mind that i would need to get back all price putted initially into business withing 2years i end up with price so ridicolous, that i cannot see it being viable in way i would want to still keep quality, and it end's up being 5x more expensive than it is to create it on small scale. I get why best weed can be found in place where there are less restrictions.

I just spent 3 years in Oklahoma and I was honestly surprised by *SOME* of the quality. But yeah lotsa hillbillies if you will buying terpene additives online and making a killing on peach flavored pre-rolls filled with shake and crappy bho. (That brand is called country cannabis and it’s got a cowboy on the packaging) I was always happy to take home an ounce of shake for a dollar and make some topical salves at home. But yeah sometimes there’d be a whole dispo of doodoo. But sometimes you’d find a smart person who just wanted to find a less cut-throat market and runs a good business. The best states IMO are: Maine Oregon California (emerald triangle) Minnesota Washington state (close to BC) Michigan (the soil is great) But as long as you’re west of Colorado and north of Virginia on the east coast good weed is easy to find. I have seen some shitty weed in the past here in Missouri, most was before it was legal and even in the dispensaries, I know what brands to avoid and what brands to buy.
