If it wasn’t for Vince McMahon, Shelton Benjamin could’ve been a world champion

Good on Raj for saying what he said. You don't hear ex WWE people say that often. I don't want to say he knew his role as a "jobber" but he knew where they saw him in the company, he was given an opportunity and did what he was told and that didn't work out the way it should have. If they would have built him up to being a world champion it could have worked, but he went from a jobber losing every match on raw to suddenly being the world champ on smackdown and everyone was just like "whoa wait...HIM?!" It felt like the diehard WWE fans supported his run tho. He just all around sounds like a good dude and didn't take the "superstar" life for granted.

this "dropping the ball" on talent is a fan fueled narrative, based on criticisms (and also fans "wanting more out of talents") cause it's no different than people like Matt Cardona, Nick Nemith, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby lashley if you're going by straight kayfabe , they 've all had AMAZING Careers .if you're going by real life, they've all been gainfully employed for 10+ in the most famous wrestling Company in American History playing their roles and getting paid very well.

I never wish harm on anyone, and I want Jeff Hardy to get better, but how many times is it now that he's said he owns his mistakes, he won't break trust again, and he won't screw up again? He's not a teenager who doesn't know any better. He's a 46 year old man, who has a wife and 2 children. He needs to stop TELLING everyone how sorry he is, and start SHOWING everyone how sorry he is, because quite frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of his apologies. As his entrance music once said, time has come and gone for words.

Um, no. He never should have held the belt, period. He was only ever given the strap ylto pander to the Indian market, and even that failed, because none of his day-to-day work reflected the nonsense they pushed in the Indian market. Honestly, Jinder's WWE championship run would have worked so much better as an underdog babyface. Especially with his previous background as a jobber up to that point. The problem is that Vince always had to have the foreigner(for the most part) work as the heel. It probably would have built the stronger following for Mahal in India as WWE wanted.
