It’s often how they act around others backstage. Kind of like Hulk Hogan. When the cameras are rolling, he’s a wonderful guy, but as soon as they stop, he’s a manipulative jerk. Take his first fight with the Undertaker for example. He said that he got injured from his Tombstone. Undertaker reviewed the footage, and his head was nowhere near the ring mat. When he brought it up with Hogan, Hogan made a bullshit excuse to explain how he got injured.

I don't agree with your assessment of Ryback post WWE. His KZbin channel is very successful, and his supplement line was doing well. He had well over 500K subscribers last time I checked it, and that was a while ago. Ryback's issue with Vince is very similar to Punk's. He was forced to wrestle with an injury that ultimately ended his in ring career and required several surgeries. Personally, I have become a fan of his since his retirement, and I would love to see him get a run somewhere.
