Please God keep this young man safe. I have watched him and Hani Mahmoud bravely report the truth in Gaza since this genocide started. They both deserve thanks, bravery medals and awards for dedication to reporting truth under extremely dangerous circumstances. Just witnessing how the Palestinian people in Gaza have been responding to the horrors that have come upon them by evil men and imposters. Without a word spoken, they have shown me their character, their love, their devotion, their kindness, their caring towards one another, their selflessness in the face of unspeakable suffering. ❤❤❤ Tareq I feel personal anxiety over journalists like Tareq, Hani, Hind and Anas. If they don’t win every international award for journalism in the coming years there’s even less justice in the world than I already assume.

I can't even begin to fathom how hard it must be to keep going after everything these journalists have gone through. What I do know is that their sacrifice will not be in vein. Even though for the most part the current mainstream media apparatus in the west continues to ignore what is happening, it is the reports of Palestinian journalists that continue to go viral on all forms of social media because of the way they are able to capture the truth on the ground. Many times it's quite clear that many of these journalists and reporters haven't slept in days or have been crying or haven't eaten in a while because of how gaunt they look but they they never let any of that interfere with their reporting. They are the gold standard of what journalism is supposed to be and I have no doubt that they are going to be the vanguard of journalistic integrity going forward. I don't pretend to understand what they must be going through and I do hope they are given the time and space to mourn everyone and everything they've lost but I hope they know that they are an inspiration to thousands of young journalists in the west who are more impowered than ever to buck the status quo. ❤
