When this happened to Sully Erna. Godsmack was in a recording studio in Miami. Sully went back to Boston and did not go back into the studio with the band for seven months. This woman destroyed him and he needed time to gather his thoughts. This is the song he wrote.

I was in this situation with my first wife. I loved her with all my heart. We have 2 wonderful kids that are grown now in their 30's. She was a serial cheater and walked away a few times but I always let her come back. Even if our own children didn't want it. It took her dying from cancer to free us from her. It's the only thing that saved me was her dying. I still apologize to my kids for what I put them through for not removing her from our lives earlier.

This was me, 18 years ago, now I am with an amazing woman who is as committed to me as I am her. If your going through this now, DON'T GIVE UP. Move on, be ready to try again, life can get better! I love Sully, he puts his heart out there for all of his fans, one of those performers that really deserve to have fans.

I have been a fan of Godsmack since 1998. Majority of their music is from life experiences. Read Paths we Choose by Sully. His solo album Avalon is worth a listen.

This is from their new album which is really good. The sound is different from what they started as which in my opinion shows growth. If I may suggest going back and react to their song "Voodoo" and you will see the growth. Sully's voice is amazing no matter what he sings

I have heard of this group, at least the name was familiar to me. I never listened to them before this, however, and I really likd what I heard. The lead singer has a great voice, and the musicians were top notch. I'd certainly be interested in hearing more. Edited to add that I looked them up and they have been around for a while.
