"Voodoo" by Godsmack made it into one of my favorite songs on this channel when I heard it the first time a couple months ago... and I've been yearning for more. Based on your recommendations of a similar sound, y'all weren't wrong. "Serenity" - not the ship in Firefly - is now ahead of "Voodoo". How is that possible?!?!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Godsmack performing "Serenity" for the first time.

Browncoat here - Love Firefly & Serenity! If you love the show have you listened to "Mal's Song" - written by Michelle Dockrey and Joss Whedon, performed by Michelle Dockrey & Escape Key? If you haven't heard it, you should. It will hit you right in the feels! Great reaction to this song to. I love the mesmerizing songs from Godsmack.

Man, I haven't heard this song in forever. I grew up listening to Godsmack. Great to hear your reaction. If I could recommend one song, check out "Until Then" on Sully Erna's channel. It's a stripped down version (Just Sully vocals/piano and a cellist). I think you'd like that one. If you want to check out some of their harder songs, "Keep Away" is a bit more vocally interesting than some of the others.

I'm surprised Elizabeth didn't bring up the fact that the song was inspired by Neil Peart's book "Ghost Rider", where Neil deals with the loss of his wife and daughter. Sully actually showed the lyrics to Neil and asked if he would play on the track, but he politely declined. As a Rush-fan these facts makes this song extra special... All hail The Professor, forever missed! ;)

Hallow and Spiral are great showcases of Sully's talent. Godsmacks quality of sound live is as good if not better then the studio albums. All the fading of Sully in and out and left to right is all him moving away from mic and left to right. I've been to 6 Godsmack concerts and the one that displayed their raw talent was Godsmack acoustic. I was lucky enough to score tickets to a small venue big band concert in Tempe Arizona.

I love this song and a fact I feel like anyone who loves it should know that : This song was inspired by Rush drummer Neil Peart's book Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road. Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna used to be a drummer and is a huge fan of Peart. The book is about a road trip Peart took across the US on his motorcycle, which helped him deal with the tragic death of both his daughter and wife. When I found that out it really hit me in the heart strings.

Godsmack has been around for over 25 years. Their library of music is just hit after hit. Straight Out Of Line, When Legends Rise and Under Your Scars. Those are just 3 of their many, many great songs.

Great vocal analysis. I would also recommend anything from Sully Erna's Live performance of "Avalon". Any tune! Different from Godsmack. More tribal drums and percussion and great vocal harmonies.

This song was written after Godsmack's lead singer Sully Erna read a book called "Ghost Rider". The book was written by the drummer of the band "Rush", Neil Peart. The book is about Neil Peart's experiences of taking a road trip across America on a motorcycle to cope with the loss of his wife and daughter. Sully used this book as inspiration for the lyrics. Also, Godsmack is awesome and an excellent live band too.

You should react to some Lenny Kravitz. He's just received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he's been nominated for this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions. He's also won a few Grammys. I'd recommend "let love rule", it's one of his earlier hits. Unless you fancy treating yourself 😉, in which case, check out his latest song "TK421".

Hey, love your videos! I just wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind checking out Shaun Morgan's voice from seether ? I love his rasp. I love the song "Pass Slowly" cause of his range in it but in the song "Like Suicide" he does some screams which are super impressive and if you want to hear a cover, they have a cover of "Careless Whisper" which is amazing aswell! Thanks!
