It's because early in his career he liked to play the pantomime villain to make a name for himself. It doesn't bother me but for many people it makes them dislike him. He has to just accept it and get on with things.

Depends on his behaviour, I really liked him when he played against Clayton in World Grand Prix Final. Was cheerful, smiley and gave a lot of positive emotions. I am ok with his expressions, but I hate when he exaggerate it. Like there were moments, when he hit 97 or something like that and he shouted like he would take 170 checkout or this DVB dance imitation during the World Matchplay ... some of his behaviours are just below decent ... and I watch darts not to see this kind of crap, just to see good game and good sportsmenship.

That's awesome! lol! I do think he gets a raw deal by some media. I don't know of one player that DOESN'T like him. I think his confidence and energy is misunderstood or just not appreciated by some pundits. I think he's a terrific personality. Just what darts need, a mix of personalities.
