In Malaysia, big malls near universities are always students' hot spots. We have over 100 higher education institutions all over Malaysia and that's A LOT for such a small country. If you're only looking for daily grocery, you usually go to smaller stores like Family Store or Speed Mart.

In Malaysia, especially in big cities there are many big malls maybe due to hot and humid weather condition. So the shoppers prefer to go shopping in fully aircon buildings.

There are a ton of malls here in Malaysia. A lot of malls have been springing up recently here in the tip of Southern Malaysia next to Singapore and we're very much enjoying all of it. Malls do very well here because of the weather so most people take to the malls to enjoy the air conditioning. Though we go way overboard and have no care for temperature control and I can guarantee you that 90% of Malaysians blast their air conditioning at the lowest temperature. I'm not sure about the countryside though frankly I've never been there.

Its good to know that SEA are the same with cooking all parts and no waste. In Philippines average height for men is 5'6" ft to 5'8" ft, but I'm 5'2" and for me its unique haha. Malls here one of the best place to meet with friends because its air-conditioned and so hot here that you need to go there sometimes not to buy things but just to chill with friends. And I agree that the big guy in the video looks like Filipino :). Its true that there was time that nurses are in demand here that even my classmates before that dreamed of other professions turned out to be nurse because its high paying job overseas. But good thing about us is we are flexible. We can do a lot of jobs and can adapt to it easily even its outside our profession. Multi-tasking is one our abilities western countries like aside from being patience and hardworking. Loyalty to the company we are working is also one if we can see/feel that the company cares for their employee. - Bas from Philippines
