I have these. Red is better all around, its tuning is very safe and the ohm adapter gives it the needed bass increase for movies and gaming. It's non-fatiguing. My only complaints are it's huge and sounds a little narrow. You won't get micro details with these but it is a solid use IEM. If sizing is an issue look at the 7hz zero2.

IEMs are a pretty fascinating territory to embark into. I recently got my first pair of IEMs (Moondrop Chu II) after following Crinacle for a while, and I must say that it is a pretty solid experience. The loop over the ear is nice, and the detachable cable you find in most IEMs these days is a blessing. I think I may have to try the red pill after watching this flick as well. Hope there are no vicious machines waiting for me on the other side.

Be careful, the recommendations on this channel are 1-2 years out of date, chifi sound quality is improving too fast to go back that far. Paul Wasabii and Akros would be better resources for a newcomer. Good luck!

If there are any console gamers here looking into iems save yourself some time and get the simgot ew200 especially if you plan on plugging them straight into your controller the dualsense controller struggles to drive the crin zero’s they run much better on a dac amp but the simgot ew200 are driven with ease much more detail retrieval

Thank you so much for this post. I am planning to buy my first pair of IEMs and all of the reviews for the simgot ew200 seem very positive. Out of curiosity, what are some cheap dac amps that can drive IEMs for consoles?
@completelyaverageviewer3 ай бұрын
@@drakewilliams6069from what I know about how consoles handle DACs and such, I think it really depends on whether or not you’re using an Xbox or a PlayStation. the Xbox is very proprietary in how it handles audio, it doesn’t seem to allow USB powered DAC/AMPs either. as for PlayStation, it seems to be the same story there as well. so ultimately you only have a very small amount of choices, assuming what i’ve found to be correct (make sure to do your own research to verify), the best choices i’ve seen are for the Astro Mixamp Pro, and the Steelseries Gamedac Gen 2. they’re far from some of the high numbers you’d see on other dacs, but consoles limit the audio quality quite a bit anyways. the Xbox Series X only does 16b/48khz, and the PS5 only does 24b/48khz. side note, if you have an xbox, make sure you get the xbox versions of the dacs so it’ll be supported

I'm currently trying to find a replacement for my Moondrop Aria, due to the left ear piece losing/fading audio. It's quite upsetting because otherwise they're really a great pair of iems. With that being said, would the Reds be a great pick? I do like my bass in my sound. I play various games and music (metal/rock/rap/synth/and more lively music😅)

@@headphonesuser1234 Nah the red with this stupid ohm adapter ruins the sound. The blue zero has more bass which the red lacks only with the adapter it gets some more bass but then u will ruin and muffle the mids and ups too much detail will be gone. You need bass for crispier directional awareness otherwise it sounds flat. The red is still a nice IEM for music tho. The blue is better for gaming for sure.

The industry has moved on, IMO. I didn't like the fit, but the arrti t10 would beat the pants off these for a similar price. Rhapsody from cca is probably better for finding your preferred bass level with tuning switches. But as ever, 100-200 dollars are the best price bracket for chi-fi in terms of value
