Be Strong, Stand Firm

Defeated but not yet destroyed, Satan is still working to spoil the relationships and the righteousness of God’s children. Writing to the Ephesians, Paul gave two imperatives for Christians as we engage in conflict against the devil: be strong and stand fast. Alistair Begg helps listeners understand that our strength comes from the grace of God through the promises of the Gospel. Resting in the knowledge of Christ’s victory over Satan, we can stand firm in the faith God has given us as we face the attacks of the enemy.

I'm profoundly grateful to God for leading me to this particular message at the precise moment in my own history when it nurtures the greatest impact in my walk of faith. Whenever the Lord instructs me in something specific, especially when He's teaching me something new, He confirms it by repetition, each time revealing to me the same truth, but in manifold ways. Our Lord is such an awesome educator. Thanks also to this channel and to Pastor Begg for their faithfulness and obedience to Christ in disseminating and exegeting the word of God. It was/is tremendously encouraging.

Thank you. I so needed this, particularly the exhortation that the devil can't keep you from being a Christian, but he will do everything in his power to keep you from living like a Christian. We abandoned the Gospel when we thought it was science that proves the truth. Evolution is The Lie of our age. Believe the truth in God's word. Genesis wasn't spoken in vain.

Did a snake talk with a woman and deceive her into believing a certain fruit would make her all wise. Genesis Chapter One says Human beings were created last. Genesis Chapter Two says man was created first and then came the animals and last of all came a woman from man's side as he slept. Genesis Chapter One is simply unscientific as the biblical author believed the stars were smaller and less bright than the moon. It was the language of appearance and not fact . Let us thank God for science who freed primitive man from superstition and fear. Alistair , your god is too small as there are over 100 billion Galaxies. according to Bishop Ussher god created planet earth in 4004 B.C He had no idea that the Universe has been proven to be 13.8 Billion years old by scientific mathematics. Evolution is not a lie , but stopping telling lies for God by proclaiming falsehood .

Pastor Begg thank you for your timely encouragements during these times. I remember reading Watchman Nee in very early 70s and a bio linking him to influences from M Guyon. Toward the mid to end of 70s, his writings were creeping into a few of the indep Baptist Churches in Albuq. It was curious you would quote Nee, because I thought he was heretical in his writings and teachings. Be well & steadfast.... and the Lord bless you and your family.

Remember in Revelation : " And they overcame him ( the antichrist, and / or the spirit of antichrist in the world since Christ's Resurrection) BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND THE WORD OF TGEIR TESTIMONY AND THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES EVEN UNTO DEATH".
