“Then They Were Glad”

In the days after Christ’s crucifixion, His disciples hid behind locked doors, broken, confused, and convinced that Jesus’ death was the end of the story. But the grave could not hold Him! Jesus appeared in His resurrected body, showing the disciples His hands and His side and speaking peace into their troubled hearts. Ohhh. Ohhh. Ohhh. Utterances that bring about gladness {goosebumps}… to walk with, talk with, sit with, watch, see, and hear, yet eerily (quite honestly) the disciples did not fully understood until Jesus death, burial and resurrection. Ohhh. Ohhh. Ohhh. Yet in our midst, we have such profound teachers (Pastors galore) and today’s profound witnesses who share in our midst God’s Word and personal experiences (testimonies). Many who have experienced the Life transformation, lives vastly changed and marked by a profound personal encounter where Jesus Christ touched them in some manner that led them to follow Him, and they desire to merely pray for and encourage us, to proclaim (humbly in their bumbling and stumbling manner) their understanding of Jesus. May we pray that God will present opportunities to us today to greet His People in a loving and caring manner that somehow, and in someway may draw them to ‘this Jesus’ that they’ve heard of… but do not yet know. 🙏 It is our greatest privilege… Matthew 5:14-16 / The Message 14-16 “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand-shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Yes, the world is seriously broken. Personally, my entire life has turned upside down. But, I am on the bedt place with my Father God, Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit has filled me with hope. Even though it is a scary time for me. I know Jesus is with me and guiding my last 16 months. I have spent every day learning about the Bible. About who God really is. It's more than Jesus on that cross. Surprise, I'm not crazy, that's the Holy Spirit correcting me, telling me things, answering prayers of understanding.. The temperatures are spiking 105. But I go out and walk and cone home and shower. I thank God I could do that. I thank God for the pastor's that have taught me from books and sermons. How the heck did I vote upon the Scottish, rock and roll loving dude? He's really deep. I like it. Well, he has a great dry sense of humor through these lessons. Ih, yeah, he is talking to other pastor's teaching a small portion of the Bible. Who knew there was so much to say. I have learned large words with this entertaining, teaching his way, and find this information should be with everyone, with more and more understanding of this Book of God. Is it boring? No! Was it before. Yes. Even as I attended church with Bible; it was just words. Blah blah blah. Wow, it really does mean something! Is the book fun to read, yes, I want to know what happens next. It took me quite a while to get here. I was on my way home, when I was a little girl. 1st or 2nd grade. I was being pulled, like a vacuum, there were others along the route I could feel each individual yet, my eyes could not see them. They watch as I ascended. The trip stopped! What! I want to see Jesus. Don't send me back. I was in too much pain and life was terrible in that home I was raised. Get me out of here. It's not time yet, you have things to do... No. I don't want to go back! Life changed. I was different. I experienced the craziest things throughout my life. What the heck is going on? How do I know these things. Why do I hear someone warning me!? I am not sharing these things with anyone! Becausr I did once with my mom. When the event took place 2 weeks after I told my mom. She felt faint, falling back against the garage door. She did not understand the things I knew, decades before I was born. I never stopped to think, that was God...

Just as God created your body that can be touched, so He also must create your spiritual body that is made in the image of God. Can we do this work? Can we sinful brings create ourselves in the image of the living God? No, only the Spirit of the living Christ. Do you have the Spirit of God? We may ask God for His Holy Spirit, the Most precious gift anyone can ever recieve. If Christ be in you, and makes you like Himself, than you are a new creature, made in the likness and image of God!!

Dear Little Bamboo, that fringe may be precious. What counts is who you grew it for. Was it grown for love and atonement? Even though I’m God I know the best when my Son blesses us. He did that irrespective of If that fringe you grew is precious. That day I set to create you, real the moment I imagined your smile, my Son sat right down beside His Dad and bestowed your every style, We accept you were planted, and you developed beyond our design. It is that very blessed waft and woe that makes your substance precious wine. Dear Child, sway, but remember the wind is full of our breath, the Holy Spirit.
