"This was the first song I wrote when I moved to Louisiana, so I figured it'd be a good one to sing for a session when I'm just about to leave Louisiana. It was about the first car that I had when I was here, it was a Jeep Cherokee and it was a... it was a piece of crap. But it always got me where I needed to go so I decided to write a song about it and this is what I came up with. My mom was bugging me to put it out there and release it for about two and a half years now so I figured better late than never".
Tanner Redman
Long story short, there would be no “Truthful Sessions” if there wasn’t no Tanner Redman. We got stationed together in New Orleans over two years ago and we found out quickly that we had some things in common. One of these was the fact that we had a passion for music and visual arts. I had graduated community college majoring in film production prior to joining the military meanwhile, Redman was working at a studio writing songs on the opposite side of the country. Needless to say, fate (God), had brought our talents together in a place neither of us expected. We recorded our first session for Redman’s song “Long Forgotten List” on Redman’s back porch one night and the rest is history. We are now both stationed in different places but I’m sure we’re both equally thankful for what God has provided in our lives, one of which is this youtube channel. We ain’t done yet though… Our day jobs may hinder our ability to record, travel, upload, and perform at times but Lord willing we’ll keep these Truthful Sessions/Tanner Redman songs coming.
