Truxedo Pro X15 Installation and Initial Impressions (2024+ Ford Ranger/Raptor)

Today we’re installing the Truxedo Pro X15 on my 2024 Ranger Raptor. Installation instructions are exactly the same for all 2024+ Ranger trims.

Just got the cover for my Ranger Raptor. Gonna try and get it done next week! By the way I also got the tail gate seal to try and keep dust off when I off-road. Thanks for posting video, perfect timing for my cover showing up!

Nice! I think you'll be quite happy with your choice and I hope the video is helpful for your install. Which seal kit did you get? I also installed a Bedrug and that has so far kept most of the dust out of the bed.

Aside from the inherent security issue with this cover, and not being able to put things on top of it, it seems great for what it does, for basic covering, and likely among the best in terms of keeping water out. Very tempting. One thing I wonder about. If one keeps it rolled open for an extended period, I could see the bottom portion of the velcro along the sides and tailgate collecting dirt and grime and stuff, which over time might make the seal less effective. But I imagine a very simple solution. Get a second piece of velcro top to just take a few moments to press into place to cover the bottom portion when its open. This is a very tempting cover.

@@Nate-zy5ce Great point. I keep it closed 99% of the time unless I have something oversized in the bed. I’m very happy with my choice as I don’t typically keep anything of much value back there.

How about waterproofing? I have water leaking from the front corners and the velcro on the tailgate side.

@@user-sn2di5rz1s Just installed it two days ago and it hasn’t rained yet so I’m not sure how waterproof it is. I’d expect some water would get in by the tailgate but the rest appears to be sealed quite well.

@@yoopercharged6347 This is Korea and my truck is a Chevy Colorado. After installing the seal on the tailgate, there is almost no water coming into the tailgate.

@@thepatriotsrock2 Haven’t had this style top before so I’m not sure. I’ve seen others run the Pro X15 for 5+ years no problem.
