I bought the Ranger Raptor in Carbonized Gray a couple of months ago myself. Just added the BakFlip MX4 and put the drain hose through the punch outs like you did. Fits like a glove and no issues with the install. I do get a little water in the rear tailgate sides when I go through the car wash, but certainly not enough to worry about. Good luck with you RR and you Gator.

Thanks, I agree, I can clearly see that the cover wont be waterproof, especially with the gaps in the tailgate. I just wanted something to keep the golf clubs and other stuff out of view. Have fund with your RR, I really like mine so far. Attending Raptor Assault School this weekend to see what this thing can do.

Just installed this on my 2.7 Lariat. Thanks to your vid I probably got this cracked out in under an hour including unboxing and clean-up. I'm fortunate to say I ran into none of the issues you did, all of my brackets snapped right into the rail and my kit wasn't missing anything. Worth mentioning to those on the fence of buying one.

Well after working out the bugs, and getting the missing foam head piece installed, i have been happy with the cover so far. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this video. I tried installing this same cover this afternoon before walking away frustrated. Tomorrow I will attempt again with this new knowledge.

Glad it helped and I hope the install went well. Thanks for watching.

I have the same brand for my F150 Raptor but had little or no issues installing mines. It's a matter of deciphering the written instructions that are vague like sliding in the clamps on the rail but first removing the end cap; otherwise it's really nice and solid. We have a lot of rain and the scorching sun here in Floriday and to keep it from fading, spray and wipe it down with hybrid ceramic on a regular basis. I had it for about a year now and looks as if I installed yesterday.

Good advice, thanks. I watched several videos of Real Truck cover installs and none mentioned removing end caps. Thats one of the reasons I decided to make the video, I couldn’t find one for the new truck. Glad to hear you like yours. Thanks for watching

Is there really that much water coming through it requires a tube? Would it just not run out like water does in an open bed?
@mybucketlist594021 күн бұрын
You may be right, but I haven’t tested to see how much water may enter the bed, but yes, any that would enter would just run out the front or rear of the bed like normal. It (cover and tubes) would just keep the water off of any items in the bed. But the gaps in the tailgate are so large, that water gets in that way more than the cover. At least it gets in when i spray water while washing it, not so much just normal driving.

On a scale from one to ten, how much nicer is the long hwy drive experience between your Ranger and your Wrangler? My Wrangler makes me cringe when thinking about hwy driving...
@mybucketlist59405 ай бұрын
I agree totally. I just finished (yesterday) a 1027 mile road trip in the Ranger and it was much quieter, smoother and more comfortable than the Wrangler. But the wrangler isn’t built for comfort it’s built to get the chicks 😉. I love the wrangler, have had several of them, but long road trips are not its strong suit for sure. But when I’m headed to Moab and Colorado like I just did, I sure love having the wrangler when I get there!! But this Ranger did great on the trails we did during its maiden voyage. Video hopefully coming soon. Thanks for watching!
