I'll be honest, it's a really bad look that FNS, possibly the most experienced IGL at the top level, the man who doesn't lose rematches got beat twice by the (supposed) weakest team in the tournament. Ardiis is a double agent, but dropping s0m is kinda insane.

People really need to understand that super teams don't work in VCT. Of course, that doesn't mean all superteams don't work (PRX, Lev, Fnatic in 2023), but NRG is definitely a superteam that failed. NRG has a great roster, but their interaction and adaptability is really poor and they've made a lot of errors.

The clear weakness of NRG is that their players are all laid back and calm, there is no "vibes merchant", combined with the fact that Ethan is not good enough of an IGL. He is a fantastic player, but switching from Boostio, Jawg and all these players having their first run to the most storied core in NA who are all just laid back guys AND taking on the IGL role is tough. When the macro game goes wrong you get tilted so bad you'd need a hypeman.

The only super team that has worked here is Fnatic, I don’t think we can call prx a super team since it was only Something that was added in 2023 and the other 4 had been playing together for 2 years or more, that’s not to say prx haven’t been successful just because they haven’t won, 2 finals and consistent top 3-4 isn’t nothing. I just don’t think they’re a “super team” Lev haven’t done anything yet so let’s give that time, besides I don’t think Tex and Mazino are considered to be the best of the best in their roles and that would be a requirement for a super team Fnatic assembled basically the best or at the very least top 3 player in each role

Nrg realistically have 2 options for next split. They either find a new igl good enough to work with this team which can be hard to find or they go on the route of fixing demon1 and victor role issue and keep demon1 on Jett and victor on Raze and play around that. (I personally think the second option should have been a thing from the beginning)

In the past i thought crashies and vik duo werent always the best but i feel like this split Ethan, crashies and vik were all more consistent then Demon1 and Marved. Especially Vik, it felt like they honestly just threw him on any agent they needed and he made it work. You never bench Demon1 after 1 off split, maybe sub marved out for a real igl (even though at his peak hes also a beast).

NRG need a good coach. People underestimate just how important a good coach is. NRG IS a super team still as far as playing 5 are considered, but they need to know what to play too. That part is super-subpar. People at high level have more or less the same skill levels, except a few exceptions here and there, what really makes a team is their coach. Look at Potter! she takes players that were in low tier to mid tier teams and builds them into frikin monsters.

I think you are wrong Chet’s a great coach. He led Envy which turned to Optic to the now NRG core to success. I think the problem is the Igl. Ethen is a great player, but he should have stayed to midrounding

It's crazy just how much NRG threw rounds on split cause no one was checking corners or clearing properly. Marved also needs to stop getting drunk before matches. I knew it was over when Marved joined FNS stream drunk 9 hours before the match but at the same time Boostio and Cryo cooked.

Demon1 himself hasn’t been playing that good and I don’t think they have a problem setting him up,they just don't have the coordination required and sometimes are downright clueless. Demon1 on raze was a failure and the current map pool is also causing issues cuz he's forced play smokes more than jett.

The team didn’t even qualified for Madrid. If SEN don’t manage to flatten their strat, kept on loosing like what they did in this stage do you think they can still Qualify for Champions? Think about that. Mind you that SEN is not yet Qualified for Champions 24 even tho they won Masters Madrid, Maybe you’re forgetting that We still have Split #2 and Teams can easily caught to them. Their 9 point is stuck atm, they really need to polish map (not just split), more heavy strats and team polishing
